That was one game almost unwatchable. Great to get the win but as for excitement it looked and sounded dead in TBA.

Fire Martin now and hire Bruce back and get back to winning,butt's in seat's,concessions. apparel and so on.Keep Martin and it will take forever and a day to win again!!

I will say this however, in the coaching fraternity CCM is thought of pretty highly. His peers think he's a great guy, and a solid coach, and that he's doing a decent job given the hand he was dealt. So I think if you fire the guy after making the dance, you're sending off a message to other candidates that just making the dance isn't enough, you've gotta advance consistently.

Now there's nothing wrong with that mindset or requirement, by when you're gonna go bargain shopping for coaches you're likely not gonna find someone in our price range that thinks those requirements are fair.

A lot of coaches get fired after making the dance. Tubby last season. Dino Gaudio 2 years in a row(WF).
Make it or not his season, I have no confidence in him.
Players don't seem to either.
Time to go.

If CCM is retained for 14-15, you have to do so with at least a 1 year extension. It would be next to impossible to recruit without one so the AD would be ensuring UT Bball of another year of poor performance down the road.

IMHO, Hart should let the season play out before deciding either way but if he brings back CCM it has to be with an extension.

If Dave Hart gives Martin an extension he is as dumb as Mike Hamilton.

I thought the same thing.
Seemed to be going thru the motions at times and relying on McRae.
Jrich took 3 shots the whole game.
Could have beat SC like the did VA, or worse.
Win's a win though.
Bracing myself for the next 2. VN meltdown ahead.

While I can't say I know a whole about the Wake Forest situation, they haven't been to the NCAAT since they fired Gaudio. Be careful what you wish for.

I'm not stumping for an extension. I'm just saying if CCM returns it has to be with one. Your guaranteeing failure with it, but you are certainly not promised success with an extension.

JRich played 3 minutes in the first half. Martin was liberal with playing Davis and Edwards after the lead got big.

I think he has to unless he fired him. He is a lame duck coach without it, and that is almost unheard of in college. If you don't think he can succeed long term, then cut him loose.

At this point some people are just set in their ways. We could beat Florida by 30 and some people would complain.

That's typical TBA, quiet through the majority of the game, has been that way for a long long time. There was still almost 18k people there which is impressive, and isn't sending the "fire Zo" message btw.(that's not directed at you)
