‘18 CA CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart (USC signee)

At this point...he's a better offensive player. Not by much..but he is.

With that said. Look at his offensive highlights.

His abilty to shift and get stride back up is special. Watch him break away after that.

Just watch him on offense. Very similar to a guy who exploded in the SEC back in 2006 as a freshman. Was SEC Championship MVP if I recall.

Looks like we have a Tyler Byrd Dilemma.

Nope!

Tyler Byrd was noticeably better on defense.

But with his measurables.
-toughness
- 24 mph speed
- 45 inch Vert

And our need of a breakaway threat. Offense was clearly a real option.

Byrd was becoming a real threat at WR as his freshman year went on. Dobbs was finding him. Kid was breaking tackles. Again..the counterproductive coaching got to him last year...

Isaac is a ball player. Honestly has no preference. Byrd is also a ball player, but upfront let people he's a DB who is playing WR for the team sake.

And funny enough...these two will be our starting CBs next Fall 👍👍👍

I wonder if hey put all the recruits up in the Crowne Plaza? I used to work there, was pretty awesome seeing the team every Friday night. Was almost speechless when Phil Simms walked through the front door when one of his sons (Matt or Chris) played for us.

Wonder why he posted the weather. It was a pretty cold and miserable day.

I don’t see ITS starting early at CB.

Not close, one looks like an offensive guy. Byrd looked like a stud in the Army AA game.

Byrd has his heart in defense. It's always been there.
But he's such a great athlete, that you want to get the ball to him.

Reality is that he is "good" WR.
But he's a potentially All-Conference DB

CB or FS.

During his recruitment Byrd asked to play offense.

Byrd should start opposite Osborne or Shamburger.

Osborne is as talented as anybody.
Shamburger was a good find by Butch, but Osborne should have been starting last year.

He's got to step up. Shamburger to me looks like a guy who could play that bandit position Pruitt loves to use (Ramsey, Fitzpatrick)

BB, me and you have different philosophy on DBs

To me explosive offensive skill players make the best CBs or FS.
(Option QB, Speed RB, WR) The best a athletes on the field should be at CB.

Isaac is the best athlete playing high school football in the country imo. His physicality is average. Hips are about right for an athlete his height. Still...both of those will improve very quickly with the coaches. We have now.

What you can't coach is
6'2"

4.25 speed with great instinct.
