‘18 GA WR Jordan Young (FSU signee)

So...

And of course 247 composite ranks him .0002 points away from being a 4*. Literally. They have his numerical at .8898

247 has him at 92, and his composite was over 92 earlier today. Not sure what other sites are included in the composite, but they apparently added at least one other rating today, and espn hasn't even ranked him yet.

I don't see a page for him on rivals, though I thought someone said earlier that they had him rated.

Just heard Barton Simmons say the didn’t even know who he was until just very recently. That Callahan alerted the guys at 247 about a couple of players down in Georgia, just outside of Atlanta....and that they should really take a look at this WR.

Said he didn’t attend any camps, that they just started doing their homework on him, looked at his film (no word if they consulted with D4H btw), checked him out to see if he played/excelled at any other sports....saw that he was the Class 6A highhurdles state champ and that he ran 10.6 or so in the 100m. Said he has extraordinary ball skills that you can’t be taught, “you either have the or you don’t”.

So bottom line, they just found out who the kid is and started doing their homework on him and really had no choice but to grade him up as a 4 star the more they dug into him and what he can do.

Per website, Young states he has been timed at 4.43 in the forty.

Y’all really believe this dude better than Copeland or y’all just biased?

Maybe I heard wrong, but I heard this guy had all the tools to be a five star if he had gone camping. Now don’t get me wrong, I’d take Copeland because he’s worth the risk, but at least Jordan Young isn’t a drama king like Copeland. You always fear those types of guys could be busts in the back of your head. But, he’s trending toward Bama, so I have no doubt if he goes there that Copeland will be great because of Saban’s program.

At that time, 247 was the only site that had him rated. So his 247 & Composite scores were the same.

Rivals rated him earlier today as a 5.5 which brought down his Composite

Thanks. Still don't see him listed on the Rivals commit page for UT.

I think the staff will take one more receiver if they can get it. Outside Johnson there isn't anyone who has showed they can be a go to guy especially not knowing if Jennings will make it through or to the season.

Ok. Watched highlights. y'all's gushing about how good this kid is made me watch....

couple things for discussion -
1- that music made me want to break things.
2- hot bad is his competition? smurf patrol.
3- kid is a playmaker - seems to have an extra gear. he really is athletic. hes a giant among kids, so, hard to tell how good he truly is - the competition looked bad.
4- good ball skills and body control. liked the fade passes. Reminds me of???? Robert Meachem. 🤔 i went there.

UF fan here and I thought you guys were just homers on this one, hadn't watched his film and like every fan base anyone they land he's gonna be good. I stand corrected, film is amazing and I don't know how after watching this anyone would think Copeland is better. I've said all along UT ain't getting Copeland, just didn't know you guys would get a better prospect. Kid is the real deal and ain't looking foward to facing him.
