With Marquez and Young, Johnson is No.3 at best.
Add Taylor, and Johnson will be working to get on the field.
Well find out just how good Butchs guys are soon enough.
Taylor has to get in the lab and improve his hands. Not counting him out but hes got to show he can be consistent.

And a friend told me earlier that he saw sumn about a JJ tweet earlier insinuating he's coming back? So I think a Top3 of JJ, Callaway(both on the outside, and then a track star like Young, and a young playmaker like Taylor(both playing both inside positions.....and you have a nice exciting core to work with. That's 2 bigger, physical playmakers on the outsides that can beat the 1-on-1 when it comes, and the burners that can slash and dash running routes underneath, or seams. And all the other WRs that are in the mix too, if any of them earn the spots over those 4, then we'd have a damn good problem on our hands, ha! I like the way they are shaping this WR group up. We've been slacking on the "WRU" claim for awhile. We've got playmakers tho
Maybe its just the number, but the picture reminded me of another receiver...

Johnson is definitely not a game-breaker, but rather a possession receiver. He showed last season that he is a good route runner, and is the guy that can get open quickly on those 3rd and 7-10 yard situations.
You think he will get some playing time this fall?
If my looking right there is no way he doesnt become a solid composite 4* this week, correct?
Due to rivals givin him a starting 5.6 ranking till their new rankings comes out this week it is weighing him down. So once he gets a 5.7-5.9 or whatever Rivalen gives him (I seriously doubt they dont move him up in that range) hell get a 4* composite ranking again!
HUGE!
We will have 8 4* composite players then. Would be nice if we could finish with a 12/10 4/3 star split.
Agree. He should. My concern is who will be throwing him the football? And can they be protected?
QB and OL is our achilles heel right now. I think Will McBride can be decent. But I fear the coaches will play Guarantano who I have less faith in. And there is little chance our o-line is good this year. 2019 is the earliest I can see us being decent up front.
