With Elliot, he could play a number of positions as well. Is he a bigger running back, an h-back, a linebacker, a safety? With so many teams needing speedier linebackers on the field it wouldn't be surprising to see Elliot become a nickel linebacker adding more speed to a back seven.

Elliot could even fit into Jones' offense and add even more versatility. That's the luxury of adding two true athletes to the class.

On their birthday, Evan and Elliott Berry, the younger brothers of Tennessee great Eric Berry, committed to the Volunteers.

Elliott Berry adds to his family legacy of playing at Tennessee. “It was a coincidence,” Evan Berry told 247Sports early Monday morning. “We ... decided to commit soon, so we said why not do it on our birthday?” His brother agreed. "We just didn’t want it to seem it was just something random,” Elliott Berry said. “We felt we needed to commit soon and didn’t want it to come out of the blue.”

The legacy runs deep as their father, James Berry, also played for the Volunteers. "He was real fired up when I told him,” Elliott Berry said. “He was very ecstatic.”

The Fairburn (GA) Creekside standouts bring a pair of three-star commitments to Tennessee. "We will be ready to work with a good attitude,” Elliott Berry said. “They are getting genuine people that want to be there.”

Evan Berry is ranked as the nation’s No. 55 cornerback and the No. 61 senior in the 2014 class in Georgia. Elliott Berry is regarded a the nation’s No. 55 safety and the No. 84 senior in the 2014 class in Georgia. “It was my only offer, so I had to be real about it,” Evan Berry said. “I can tell Tennessee is starting to turn it around. They only need a couple of more athletes to turn it around. I’m excited about it.”

Tennessee linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen recruited the 5-foot-11, 195-pounders. "He did an excellent job,” Evan Berry said. “He didn’t press us. He let us know they wanted us really bad.”

im pretty sure a lot of schools didn't even bother based on whats been posted on here. wasn't auburn like the only school they even paid any attention to other than us and wasn't that only when they had troop? I cant see a 5.7 3 star with that last name and his skill set not having any other offers. I think most people knew it was a losing battle.
