’14 GA ATH Elliott Berry (UT Signee 2/5/14)

don't worry about height with the Berry family. Their shoulders are ridiculously wide and high on their bodies with little heads and no neck. Somewhat like cartoon characters. To me, that makes them play like they are @ 6'1 or so, as their shoulders are probably higher or as high as taller players.
I'm not trolling either. They all play a lot bigger than they are listed and it's because of how they are built.

He is a 5'11.5" 195 pounds. He has to put on 25 pounds to play and it isn't like he is some underdeveloped kid that hasn't been working out.

I've been saying this too but I changed my mind. Eric is maybe 205, and I don't see Elliot getting much bigger. But when I watch the Chiefs, Eric spends half his time in the box basically playing LB. If he can do it in the NFL, Elliot can manage in college. Plus, Elliot looks like a great wrap tackler in his highlights.

Dude he is only 18 years old. You don't know how much weight he can put on over the summer he isn't fully developed yet. Heck Maggit was listed as 195 coming out of High School

Elliott Berry is an inch shorter and the same weight as JRM was this time last year. No reason he can't have a similar path next fall. Special teams player and slowly works his way into the LB rotation. Or he plays RB and balls out. JMO

Did anyone notice the sizes of the linebackers that made ALL-SEC 1st and 2nd teams this year? There were multiple that were not much bigger than Elliott. With more teams going to spread type offenses, speed and awareness have become much bigger factors.

I think height is the only issue with Elliott. He has a nose for the ball and is a solid form tackler.

Sorta reminds me of Alec Ogletree coming out of HS. Ogletree was 205-210 lbs coming out HS and turned out to be a great LB for UGA.

Kid is a great OLB prospect that's why. I know VN loves to change kids positions but he's a LB. He was everywhere last night. Great speed at that spot. Once he puts on some weight he will be fine there.

I think Alec was 6'3" though.

Coverage, blitz and chase LB. Perfect for the role. I promise you will see at least one Pick 6 for Elliott. He has Berry instincts.

Elliott reminds me of Robert Niemdichi's brother at Ole piss, hes under sized but he flys to the ball and is always in the back field.

Alex Ogletree was 6'3" too.
