So what everyone is saying that because their dad and brother played football at UT they earn a free ride to the university because of "legacy". Well, I graduated from UT and so did my dad and that school hasn't given me a scholarship for my child.
If you want it then earn it, I am not saying they haven't earned it I am saying there are others on the board who are just as good
Remember Just because Dorfman "Flounder" was a legacy doesn't mean he got to be an Omega!

Well they won't have to worry about playing for Dooley - but hopefully we get someone in here they like and in a timely fashion... the timing could really screw things up though with a coaching transition a few months before they make their decision.
Ur crazy. They better learn to like him cause he will still be here.
This is an 8-10 win team this year so don't get too excited about the idea of no Dooley.
Let's all hope Trooper Taylor gets canned close to NSD when the Berry Brothers are ready to.commit. they have strong ties to him.

If your child has awful grades, then he/she wouldn't get in. If your child was borderline, then UT would see that he/she is twice a legacy and especially if you donate money to the school, then you bet they would favor your child over others. It absolutely works like this, so your comparison actually favors this situation.
If the Berry brothers didn't have any D1 offers, then it would be one thing. But, they do, and they are lineage to one of the greatest Vols of all-time. They can contribute on the field, and he can contribute with money. It is a no-brainer.

With as much chatter as I hear about these guys going to UT, I have yet to see anything solid saying they are actually seriously considering Tennessee. I'm sure we are in the hunt for them, but compared to other legacy guys like Dillon Bates, who has all but actually said he will be a Vol, Evan and Elliot have been hush hush about things.
WR: Lauderdale
OL: Brown
DE: Hendrix
DT: Ford
LB: Bates, Miclisse, Mouhon, Elliot Berry
CB: Gaulden, Green, Evan Berry
S: McDowell
Ath: Truitt
