KC defense is underrated

Oline and insistence on other team's backup/system QBs has been and is still their problem. On the bright side, when Smith doesn't do that well because he's not surrounded by elite talent like he had at SF, I think Bray will get a chance.

KC put like 6 some odd players in the pro bowl? I think Reid turns it around personally. Too much talent on that team, and they now have Tyler "Kenny Powers" Bray to throw in as a wildcard.

I think they will have a lot better offense . The ol should be really good. They have a good qb. Rbs are awesome. A better coach. With the schedule that they have I believe they could get close to 8 or 9 wins. IMO

To he honest, i didnt watch many of their games, but the stats say this "underrated" talk is BS.

26.6 ppg
-24 turnover ratio
5.9 yards per play

Their offense was one of the worst in the league, so they weren't getting help, but the defense is still below average in most categories.

We offer them for sure, but if they don't want to come here, we move on. They are both good players but didn't pan out to be the level of Eric so far, as was predicted back when they were younger.

There's not a player in our class on Eric's level. Should we just pass on the whole class? Think James Berry. If these boys can be as good as their dad, they're takes all day.

Hurd has that type of potential.

This could be the case. But I think you see where I'm coming from...or perhaps you don't. Not being on EB's level doesn't disqualify you from being legit. There are NFL pro bowlers who IMO aren't on EB's level. And we can go back to the Gene McEvers days and struggle to find 10 players on EB's level. I just don't get the "if we don't get them oh well" notion. But that's just me.

Again, if these kids are as good as JAMES Berry (not Eric), they are takes all day long. JMO

Exactly. Eric is one of the top 5 players in UT's history IMO and to have that expectation for any recruit coming out of high school is in no way warranted.

I really don't understand the debate on the Berry brothers on whether they're takes or not. Don't look at their last names. Look at their offer list like we look at other players on here. How in the world are they not takes? Keep in mind, these other schools could care less what their last name is:
Auburn
Clemson
Georgia
LSU
Miami
Mizzou
Ohio State
Florida
South Carolina
Kentucky
Vandy

I believe all of these teams have offered them both. I feel like it's only a debate because of their last name, which is quite ironic, because if anything, it should make us want them more.

Considering the fact that most key players were injured for a majority of the season, I think they are underrated.

Ya know, I just looked at the post count combined for Evan and Elliot, and they are only like 1,900 post between the two of them. Considering their father, brother, and how long they have been talked about on VN and on our radar. And one of them "committing" to UT in 8th grade. I forget which one Elliot I think? Very surprisingly low post count.

It's true, now that just about every Legacy is on board, once the Berrys get on board, then we can all breathe a little easier. I can deal with losing out on some regular recruits. It's a shot to the heart when you lose a legacy. Bates, TK, Wharton, Creamer, Berry and Berry will wrap that Legacy Class up. Everything else will just be added bonus.

It's because they give us absolutely nothing to discuss. With everyone else, there's always quotes to read into, visits to discuss, rumors to make, etc.

These guys are very very very quiet. So, no, it's really not that surprising.

It was Evan.

Also to your point, look at other threads. It isn't that low for non-commitments

Thanks, I couldn't remember I kept flipping back and forth I originally thought Evan. that is true, but my point was. I could see these threads being started in 2009 when they were in 8th grade. Where other recruits usually get started in their Junior year, maybe soph sometimes, and rarely Freshman.

Very true, especially with never camping. Them being so quiet and never camping is why I feel like they are underrated. I like the quiet ones. It means they know they are that good, and don't have to verbalize it to other people. Also, it means they are humble.

what are we supposed to discuss? there is no info out on them.they dont do interviews.their recruitment is going just like eric's did.it will all play out.

This^^ EB's are very few and far between. If we can get solid, consistent performers like James Berry, we will be fine. EB is the best CFB player to run thru that T since Peyton. Comparatively speaking EB and PM were pretty much even in terms of performance at their position. Both left you awestruck!
