I think Peyton Manning should adopt some of these recruits and pay their tuition. That way we could have more room. He would if he was a true VFL.

Not sure what this has to do with Eric Berry paying for the tuition of a host of Volunteers. Try to stay on topic.

I really don't know why the idea is so outlandish. Let's say you are going to give 500k to UT and get your name somewhere or whatever. If $425k goes towards whatever and the rest pays tuition for 1 year, would you care? Still get your name in the training room, or new db room. There is just less fluff added to the expense and the monies are allotted elsewhere.
I don't blame the doubt at all. I just don't see why it's out of the realm.

Cause it's cool to belittle people who think about UT football and discuss every imaginable scenario. Do. Not. Get. It.

I see both sides of the argument, but there is a slim chance it will happen. Let's all agree to disagree and move on shall we :hi:

Hey, I'm a guy who bought into the Gruden furor so I'm not a guy who throws stones at people who believe the rumors. I was just making a joke. Folks should discuss whatever they want in this thread. I personally don't think there is much chance that this will happen but I sure hope it does.

I would think it was offensive if it were coming from our side, but if this happens and was all Eric's idea ... then great.

Honestly, I'm a bit surprosed that EB is already in a comfortable enough financial position that he is willing to make a 500k donation what with injury possibilities and taxes and all. Just because you were able to pony up doesn't mean every millionaire can.

I do think the twins are silent commits. I wish they'd get it over with, but I am believing that Butch is holding them back for some late buzz.

I wish they'd go ahead an commit. I'm gettin that feeling you get when the 5* you've been working for weeks on EA Sports NCAA football never commits anywhere. Haha. Just want to see them in orange.

:bump3: We should probably also be arguing in the Evan Berry thread as well. You know, all that equal opportunity stuff.

..we might as well, where do you stand with Evan? Is he a take? Does he have many schools beating down his door? Lets do this...

You are correct! A high profile nfl alum would never even consider making a donation to their college program that would certainly make the team stronger! It's foolish to think guys make donations and care about their old programs.

Remember when Archie payed Peyton's tuition to free up space so Fulmer could sign Brandon Stewart? What about the time Peyton refused to pay Eli's full tuition so Eli decided to sign with Ole Miss.

Didn't think so.
