Well he I saw a quote in a recent article that made me feel confident. He said things about each school in his final 3. Loved the staff at Michigan. Said he enjoyed the Memphis campus as well as the visit. Then he said that he was our top priority or something to that affect. To me that sounds like he’s a UT commit, and that we made sure he knew that he was the priority. Not just another recruit. Gosh with Walker Jr, Johnson, and Springer we will be incredible!! Add a guy like PJ Hall to the mix and this will be perfect. Even without Hall however we bump up to the number 1 class in the 247 class calculator. Probably the first time we’ve been top 5 recruiting in basketball

About 3 of those are likely. I called Walker leaving this year on another board and people were sure I was FOS. I'm not calling this one yet

I know this...whoever is in charge of driving around the recruits while at the Memphis campus has a lot of pressure (I have a life long friend on the Memphis staff...maybe I can get that info);). You turn one street to late or early and the neighborhood is shocking. Now I don't say that to slam Memphis its just the truth and the escort needs a raise. Its not that way in Knoxville. Of course you don't have to leave campus to show the facilities which is nice and there's not many lovelier places in college than UT Knoxville.

You don't think they have 'The Wire' type neighborhoods around Knoxville? Leave home much?

I’ve lived in both (and appreciate both) and I’d say Memphis definitely has a higher percentage of them and they are more immediately surrounding the campus

THAT kind of comment is bound to endear Memphis athletes to UT. That is what Meffis recruiters tell Meffis athletes is the attitude of "redneck" Vol fans---implying the entire time that UT fans are rednecked racists.

Haha...yeah I'm sure we do...Every been to the Memphis campus much?...I'm sure you have but if you are comparing the two...then I guess I'll bow out now....

Well, imo, Springer is a silent and will confirm that within a week after he visits UT, for the Georgia football game. In fact, iIrc, all 3 of our future 5 stars will be visiting UT for that Georgia game. Walker and Keon should be there to lock down Springer and insure UT's first future Final 4 team
