‘20 NC SG Jaden Springer (UT commit 10/23/19)

If I'm reading this correctly, they're saying he'll be in the studio to talk about Williams and Springer? Perhaps I'm "misremembering", but aren't coaches not allowed to talk about unsigned prospects?

No, he's saying Howard will be "in" the hometown to visit Springer at school. He's traveling to them. That's what he means.

Not sure if it's bad news necessarily, but it probably has something to do with why there has been no announcement yet. Things might get interesting.

Most likely there to see Williams. Springer just included since he's there also.

It may very well be likely that we get Springer but all Im saying is some seem to be counting their chickens before they hatch.
Are you this contrarian in every avenue of life, or do we just get the worst version of you, here?

Obviously, anything can happen, but the overriding opinion, and not just by Tennessee fans, is that Springer to Tennessee is a pretty sure bet. Other team’s fans, the media, and of course, our fans, alike, all seem to be in agreement on that. Could it change? Sure it could, but this isn’t solely blind optimism at work. There is, in fact, a great del of smoke around this fire. Let people enjoy it until there is reason for concern or disappointment. If that happens, you’ll get your wet blanket moment. In the meantime, it seems like you’re just itching to be the villain, for some reason.

That hasnt and never will be the case.

It just seems like if you dont go with the flow here you become a villain.

Ive never disrespected or talked down to anyone.

Ive explained the reasons I think what I think multiple times.

It is not so much that you don’t “go with flow” as much as it is that it seems like you actively search out ways to cut across the grain like nails on a chalkboard.

Just like your “ITYS” comment. You won’t convince anyone here that you didn’t draw satisfaction from the slightest available crack to be able to squeeze that in. In your effort to not go with the flow, it seems like you search out for ways to be contrarian so as to either defiantly not align yourself with the majority, or to double down on your stubbornness with regards to acknowledging the fact that Barnes is doing a good job simply because he hurt your feelings in his pursuit of capitalistic advancement.

For people to still be sore over his salary is petty. He got what he got, and so far, he’s earned it, whether we land Springer, or not. We are clearly fishing in a different pond. If Springer chooses Michigan or Memphis, no one can possibly say Tennessee and Rick Barnes didn’t do everything they could to land him. If we do sign him, then we landed our top 3 priority players with an outside shot at going 4 for 4 with Hall. Not even Cal or K do that on a consistent basis.

I feel like if there was an impending announcement on national television or through a national media outlet we'd know in advance and not just by a few hours. I'm less inclined to believe that it's still on for today. It's probably been pushed back. I could be wrong, but if the purpose of withholding an announcement is to hype it up and put it on national television, you'd need more then a few hours to do so.
Gonna break in with the announcement during momma’s family, on the METV channel, imo.
GBO!!

Sounds like he has a lot more good things to say about us compared to Michigan & Memphis.

Tennessee: “They’re a family and the fans love their team. The whole city is behind them and that’s big. I really like Rick Barnes and I feel like I’d really develop under him. It’s a great situation.”

That is exactly what I would hope to read from any Tennessee basketball recruit.
