He’s not going to join the Harlem Globetrotters but he does lead the team in assists/minute. He also doesn’t have a bad assist/TO ratio. And he can play facing the basket. He’s a wing right now, the most loaded position. 3 ahead of him will be long gone by the time he’s a senior. I think it’s small minded to throw in the towel with him. As I said earlier... he has 3 more years left. If he can add weight he’ll be able to play as a 5. He could solidly fill spots 2-5. But I guess Barnes doesn’t have a clue. Am I doing it right?
There is no way Pember can play the 2 or 3 because he would get destroyed trying to guard those positions. Putting him out there means he would have to guard someone like Springer or Keon, which would be a massacre. He just doesn't have the athletic ability to play the 2 or 3. I don't ever see him putting enough weight on or being physical enough to play the 5 either.
Pember is a stretch 4 and that's really it. I don't ever see him being a really great defender either, so his offense is going to have carry him. The problem there is Barnes cares more about your defense.
