Sure if they are good.
I’m not even suggesting running off Pember. Not all 13 scholarship guys are gonna play. What is being argued is his talent, which you’re arguing for and we are arguing against.
He was one of the best players, if not the best, on a state champion team.
The original post that I replied to was about running off Anosike, Pember, and Plavsic.
Who cares about East TN basketball? I went to Farragut and Bearden is a good East TN basketball team but rarely does that translate to Division 1 success for their players. The talent in this state is on average not good. You have a few elite Memphis players every now and then but that’s it. Winning a state title here is meaningless.
I didn’t realize that East Tennessee is a state. When did that happen?
We really haven’t seen Pember play enough minutes to decide whether or not he could become a great player.
I don’t doubt his basketball skills are there but physically, he’s not able to handle bigger and stronger post players.
He seems to be a decent shooter with good passing skills. Just needs to get stronger.
List of players since 2002 at UT that played less than 5% of minutes available (non walk ons)
Boomer Herndon
Pops Ndiaye
Quentin Cheivous
D’Montre Edwards
Dom Woodson
Jabari McGhee
Jalen Johnson
You probably missed it. Many did. 1784-1790. State of Franklin. Never admitted to the U.S., but in E.T., things like that aren’t what defines us. It’s the good faith effort. View attachment 355660
