I don't know that there is much evidence that Dilione is considering it, either, but Vescovi enrolled on Dec. 28th, so not much of a head-start.

This has been on the table and is likely to happen, as I mentioned before Tennessee tried to get him to reclassify to 2022 when he committed. Obviously that didn’t happen but from that time discussions then moved to Tennessee bringing him in mid season. Nothing decided as far as playing time, just get him here and see where he’s at.

I’m not setting any expectations, what Vescovi did was rare and way more common to come in and not be ready to contribute…at the very least it’s a head start for him on next year here, but hopefully he can do something for this years team.

I think it’s worth mentioning that I wouldn’t expect him to come in and help at PG this year, I could be wrong on that but if he’s going to help us this year I think it will be as a 2.

Dillione would not have the pressure Vescovi had either. He could ease into a supporting role and get comfortable. If he is as offensively talented as folks say, and UT has trouble scoring, sounds like he coul dhelp this year.

Grant Ramey cautioned us that even if Freddie comes in early, it will likely be to redshirt and not play this season. He reminded us that was the plan with Santi until injuries forced us to play him.

I think it’s worth mentioning that I wouldn’t expect him to come in and help at PG this year, I could be wrong on that but if he’s going to help us this year I think it will be as a 2.

Our weaker position is point guard, but I think he should practice and learn the way Barnes does things before he is thrown into the fire. If he turns out to be really super, he may see some action durning the later part of the season. Don't want him to lose confidence if plays too early and screws up a couple of times.
