I think you overestimate “ most “ . You don’t seriously think that this forum is the outlier that just happens to have “ some “ Trump supporters in it do you ? That right there , that belief that only crazy people support Trump and they are a small percentage , is how he got elected . You should maybe try a different strategy . You know the saying .. doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome ...
This forum is disportionately over represented by the proud Trumpies that live in fantasy land.

At least CNN sees it for what it is, a coup in the making.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/06/politics/donald-trump-white-house/index.html
The next few paragraphs are even better.

Damaging twin portraits of the President in a New York Times op-ed and Bob Woodward's new book are using the words of current top officials to fracture the mythology of vanity and bombast, conmanship and intimidation of Trump's personality cult.
In an attack from an enemy within, top officials who see Trump up close, including one calling the band of renegades the "resistance," are finally daring to say -- albeit under Washington's invisibility cloak of anonymity -- what outside critics have long believed.

They warn the President of the United States is not only unfit to be the most powerful man in the world, but is a venal mix of ignorance and ego, pettiness, malignancy and recklessness that is putting the republic and the world itself at risk.

See, this makes no sense to me. If Trump is so awful that the staff spends it's time preventing him from doing things he impulsively wants to do, then shouldn't these people be reporting this to those who can invoke the 25th? McConnell, Ryan, the Cabinet?

Stop enabling him. Do what's right and help pave the way for his removal.

It's a very bad precedent is what it is. Whoever it is needs to resign and speak out publicly.

This has gone beyond bad precedent.

Never before in our nation have we seen so many attempt to subvert, destroy and remove a President from office through lies, intimidation and threats of violence. Frankly, I don't see how it won't end in open revolt if they succeed.

He/She has spoken out publicly. We will let the stable genius snoop him/her out and terminate them.

Do you think that Ryan or McConnel has the backbone to do anything? Ryan is retiring and McConnell is trying to cross the road.

They all spend an inordinate amount of time stopping his worst impulses????????

Sounds like a guy who shouldn't be president.

The very fact that you don’t see anything wrong with “ people “ inside any admin working to subvert an elected president is scary and the very reason why the left gets such a bad reputation often being called unhinged . The ends does not justify the means when you are talking subversion and soft coups . You realize what you are saying right ?

Person is either a coward or NYT made the story up

The person is scared of Trump and his cult. Look at Trump's tweets. He wants the person "turned over" to "the government." He sounds like the Nazis and will have the person shot.

Yes and no. Would be better to go public. But would be worse not to say anything at all.

The person should not be at their job, if they despise the President that much they need to resign and go work for Booker or Warren

I think at any other time in history it would be horrible. I have stated often Trump is a once in 500 years calamity. Standing by and doing nothing would be more treasonous.
