‘Power T’ flag outside the federal courthouse.

I think that's pretty much just the right touch.

A crowd might have been interpreted as a potential threat or warning. A huge banner without any gathering, though, that's just saying, "yes, we care, and we're paying attention, even while we give you your space."

Perfect.

I like it as well! Says a whole mouthful without people saying anything.

Interesting that Price is covering the hearing. Dont know how much experience he has in courtrooms. Will be interested to see if news reporters that generally cover trials are there from the KNS or other outlets.

with thousands of customers, they expect immediate information and AP can provide that. Besides, he has to go to Pal's for lunch. :)

While I know this is federal court and you're not gonna have people there for run of the mill charges-

Can you imagine some poor guy having his case against His neighbor for a fence or something scheduled for today not having a clue any of this was going on? Dude would show up to cameras and reporters really confused

Considering the underlying motivation for staying under the radar and boldly going into the fray, it is not surprising you feel this way about it.
Odd that you don't see the comparison between the IRS and judge vs the NCAA. I'm down with butting heads with the NCAA. It's about time. The judge, however, is definitely not one to even give a hint of antagonizing or in this case. One of my good friends is a judge and they don't take kindly to any attempts or even the perception of pressure or influence.

I don't find it odd at all. The IRS can profoundly affect me personally. Fines, penalties, interest, jail time and I have to prove my innocence rather than having my innocence presumed with the IRS. NCAA cannot touch me at all. At worst my entertainment in the fall is affected. One of my friends is also a judge and she doesn't allow the outside distractions to influence her or the case in her court.

Like I said earlier, your default is "what if" so your position and further explanation is expected. I am not making a judgement on it. Simply making an observation and correlation.

This display might be directed toward the NCAA, but as you pointed out, you want to stay under the radar with the IRS. I'd submit the same is true with this judge. That's the bear I don't want to poke. No telling how he'll react or if it will impact his decision at all, but the smart move would have been to steer clear and not put up an attention seeking UT flag right in front of the courthouse. Might move the needle with some of our young fans and on social media, but given what's at stake, I'll stick with this being stupid.
I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said but I would say the judge probably doesn’t give a damn or get influenced one way or the other by that flag. I’m sure he’s seen way crazier in his time. Jmho though.

Exactly right. A flag planted there reminds everyone that the eyes of many are on them but without a feel of personal danger that can come from a rowdy crowd.

Not sure the governing board of the NCAA can even recognize or spell "T", for Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Clemson, UCLA, etc. do not use a "T"
