I think it’s just him trying to inject some confidence into his guys down the stretch run, that was post Kentucky and we followed that up with the win at Missouri and then home against Auburn. The stronger you finish the year the better the seed you get, the better your seed the better your chances of advancing are.

Agree, plus we have 3 very good guards, which, considering the history of the NCAA Tournament is what wins championships

1 through 6 on the Williams / Admiral team was the best IMO. Really got a bad break with Alexander going down in the tourney. This years team is deeper and better equipped to overcome injury as we’ve seen with ON

It was pretty interesting listening to State Run Radio here in Memphis today and just how biased they are. The noon goobers talked about everybody you can name around the country as “contenders” including Gonzaga, AZ and KY and even Arky and Alabama (if they got hot) but left one team completely out of the discussion- UT. Wouldn’t even mention their name as a decent team. I’ve come to expect it down here but it’s a little ridiculous when you can’t give THE state university a little credit when they’ve played well. The inferiority complex runs deep in these people. Of course I guess I forget that Memphis is more a part of Mississippi than Tennessee so what was I thinking? And now that Memphis has beaten up on the Little Sisters of the Poor lately, one would think they are the second coming of Wooden’s UCLA teams. After being on and off the bubble for 2 months, there is now no question they are making the Dance and could make a big run according to State Run Radio. They seem to be playing a little better but they have beaten nobody with a pulse except Houston and that team has struggled lately. SMU absolutely mauled them the other day.

I'll believe it if they at least make it to the championship game in the sect. Have to be able to beat the top 25 kps on a neutral to do it. sect is a good place to start.

Smoke a bowl, then we will talk about whether or not, you need to GTFO. Nothing wrong with calling it like you see it. I really doubt UT wins it all, but they are a contender. Don't be a drive-by, just to throw shade, that makes me angry and in the immortal words of Bruce Banner/Bill Bixby, "You wouldn't like me, when I'm angry"
