'09 TN DL Daniel Hood (merged)

This is the first I have ever heard of the incident, man who in their right mind would offer this piece of :censored: a scholarship.

USC accepted Frostie Rucker after he had been kicked off CSU's squad for rape. He also had several rape charges against him since the 8th grade.

Not saying Tennessee isn't a nice state b/c its where I've always wanted to be, but Texas is a pretty awesome state. The chicks are hot, there are tons of people, and plenty places to visit. It's like its only little country. I'm prob not helping much. I think there is no tangible answer to your question.

texas suxs dude, you really need to get out more.

if not for the oil, mexico could have it back for all i would care..

A family friend has stated that the Hood family has met with Mike Hamilton and it looks like Daniel will now sign with UT. We all make mistakes and he is no different. He grew up a UT fan and its his dream to be a vol. So let's hold our judgement of DH and welcome him into the vol family.

If that is true, UT will have some major problems with the fans...

I don't care how young or stupid, you just don't do things like this kid did. I'll lose quite a bit of respect for the coaching staff if they take him in.

Man, without knowing the kid personally this seems like a big time risk. Everyone makes mistakes, but the magnitude of his are pretty severe. Seems like he might be better served getting farther away from home... but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. His leash better be ultra-short, this could be an embarrassment in the making.

I have a hunch u don't know much about the situation. DH was just being a follower.

Well it's either forgive and forget or hold a BAD mistake against this kid and tell him that no one is going to support him and let him know that he can't make it. Whether or not we agree with it, I can tell you that the football team itself will watch him like a hawk and the first sign of trouble it will be dealt with. That is if this is true.

Wow this is a surprise. I will say one thing, if this really is true, I don't think Kiffin is doing this just because we are short on linemen. If this was the case, he probably would have given the others a little longer leash before he kicked them off the team. What the kid did/witnessed was bad, but I will hold judgement until we get more information. I think he was 14 or younger when this all happened. Obviously he was old enough to know better, but like I said, I will wait and see. I just can't see our coaches given this kid a chance unless the family and he really convinced everyone he had changed and learned a huge lesson from all this.

It states that this kid was 13 when this took place, albeit these acts where horrible, it appears in reading the case that this kid did more watching the other guy do these things. I can't believe that he just stood by and watched this done to his cousin.

It does create a deliema as to do here! Forgiveness can be a tricky thing. Only one,God, wants to fully forgive, we seem to always want to remember! :ermm:

DH made a big mistake and was talked into helping something that ended with legal problems that obviously has stigmatized him to the point where strangers who have never met him still claim him a scumbag. He was 13 years old at the time and has paid dearly for his mistake. Ole Miss was going to give him a chance why not his his home state school.

How would you all feel if it were your daughter that these things happend to? I don't care how old you are, when you commit acts like he did, there is something wrong with your mind.

If this perv ends up wearing orange I will have a totally different outlook for the new coaching staff. And, it won't be for the better.

If the family spoke to Mike Hamilton, it might not matter what the coaching staff thinks.
