#1 Alabama vs #4 Auburn - Iron Bowl (3:30 CBS)

People on this site have been claiming "the spread doesn't work in the SEC" since last week? Really...

How many have you had to drink? Reread what I said and who I said it to.

The guy was talking about people claiming the spread wouldn't work before Urban came to Florida, I said I've seen people on here make that claim as recent as this week.

How I felt while watching Bammers cry

Where does this rank on worst family dinners? Kept getting asked "why are you so quiet" all night long (answer: there's football on and my eyes are focused on the one TV in the restaurant. Also, I'm eating.), left the restaurant with 4:30 to go and Bama up 28-21, takes forever to leave, arrive at house and learn I have missed the play of the new century by a minute. I hate everything. Bama sucks.

seen this guy in Auburn Al yet tonight ?

They will. Auburn has the same case as Florida did a few years ago. IF AUBURN wins the SEC then they are in.. no question.

Except the team UF had a case against (Michigan) was also a one loss team, like UF.

And UF and some of the media had two weeks to make that push to the voters…two weeks that Michigan also didn't play a game.

It's a completely different scenario than what's being suggested here.

Missouri won't be ranked 5.. they will be ranked 4 if they win today

So that will have AU beating the number one and number four teams in the same week.. and who did Ohio State beat?

Human polls don't care though. They pretty much just take the time to rank or judge your win comparative to how you were ranked the week before and that's it, and they make up 2/3 of the BCS rankings.

Just because the SEC has won a bunch in a row doesn't necessarily mean the national championship has to "go through" it...I mean what if the best SEC team this year had 2 losses?

That's a really tough call to decide if Auburn should jump Ohio St...if I got to submit a poll ultimately I think I'd have them over the Buckeyes though.

The fans would have them jump them, but the fans aren't the ones who get the vote.

For a jump this size (we're talking, at the moment pretty much a full .1000 - in a system that ranks everyone as less than 1), the polls would have to jump a 1 loss team over an undefeated major conference school (which the coaches poll has never done in the top 2 spots) and ESPN would have to lobby hard…harder than they did back when they wanted a 2-loss LSU to jump from 7 to 2 in 2007 and play in the championship solely because they won their conference…and that was an insane push by them that evening

And honestly, I don't see ESPN making that heavy an invested push; especially since - to their view - OSU brings a larger television crowd.

The proper defensive setup is to let the clock run out and take your chances in OT. His kicker was 0 for 3 on the night and wise old Saban runs him out there to try and make a 57 yarder. Not smart.

You don't put only SLOW offensive lineman on the field especially considering how he kicked all night long! Sabah the elf should have thought about this and put a few players with SPEED on the field.

Bottom line, Saban should have kicked the field goal when Bammer was inside the 25 earlier in the game. If he had that much lack of confidence in the field goal kicker, he should have never tried kicking a 50+ field goal attempt!
Poor coaching all the way around, period!
I'm still :eek:lol:!

He was essentially forced into that decision by how Foster was kicking during this game. Read my post above; he'd already missed 2 makeable FGs and had another low kick blocked.

Given your options, do you go with Foster or let your team's bread and butter try and get one yard?

It wasn't foster who missed 3 FG that kicked that 57 yard FG. It was the redshirt freshman Grifith you dumbasses...
