Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley gained what his teammates and coaches said was an unfair reputation this season of being a dirty player.

Oregon quarterback Darron Thomas said Thursday it was warranted.

"Oh yeah, we've seen he's got a lot of dirty plays, throwing people around after the play and things like that," Thomas said Thursday. "But that's just football. I don't worry about it because it's a physical game."

If doing that during the game makes Fairly a dirty player, I wonder what he thinks about his boy Legarrett Blount-smoker sucker punching players after the game and tussling with the police.

I don't get into stats much in trying to determine such.

Oregon has a solid D, Auburn has played better and put up points.

I really don't care. We've won handily against every single team we've played this year, with the exception of one. It's whatever. You'd be stupid to say that Oregon doesn't have a solid (at worst) defense and an excellent offense.

I don't disagree that you have a good football team. I'm just saying that Auburn has faced better defenses than yours.

I want to pull for Oregon but feel i owe it to the sec to pull for Auburn. Just thinking that if Auburn wins it shows the country the best team still lies in the sec.
