#1 Gonzaga vs #1 North Carolina - National Championship Game

But why does it matter who's on here to begin with? It's the best sports forum I've ever found, if a Kentucky or Alabama or Florida fan wants to come on here and have rational civilized conversations with other sports fans then I'm all for it. I can see your point if i was on here trolling everyone about how bad Tennessee is at basketball and rubbing it in your faces about being in the championship game. I simply congratulated the North Carolina fans on here, many of who i "know" like AV and Reg, on the victory.

It wouldn't if they were adding legitimate conversations but they are few and far between... like I said I assumed on you and that was my bad...
the only other legitimate fans I have seen on here are trolls doing the exact thing you mentioned so I assumed that was the norm... saw your Avatar and assumed that of you too...

I just figured since Gonzaga lost id jump off the bandwagon now, and onto the Braves, since they're world series favorites and all.

JK Caleb, i appreciate your apology.

It's all good... I will just let you go on being the hypocritical fan you are... 😉😎

So I missed all the fun last night? I see Ben is causing a ruckus, as usual. We've got to get the trolls under control around here.

Careful, you can hurt your knees really badly over the long run with all that jumping. :p

All that time wasted on instant replay and the refs got the most important call wrong. On that last jump ball Meeks tied up the ball for UNC but his off hand was clearly touching 6" out of bounds. The refs were a joke.

It was a very poorly officiated game, including the call you cite.

The thing of it is though that it was poorly officiated equally, so I don't think the officiating had any real bearing on the outcome, unless it can be determined if how the officiating affected the pace determined the outcome in one team's favor. That, however, is indeterminable.

And Gonzaga hit a 3 after a phantom tip on an air ball. All about timing, I guess. Meeks didn't even have possession of the ball when his hand grazed the end line. So TECHNICALLY it was a missed call but in a namby pamby way.

Spot on. It was painful to watch this game. Gonzaga couldn't hit a bucket in the second half and the stoppage in play with all the fouls just took out the flow for both teams.

I know its about the all mighty dollar, but I wish they wouldn't play those games in big stadiums like last night. Just wonder if the backdrop and surroundings of a large stadium vs. an arena (which they are used to) has any effect on players. I would think that it would.

He doesn't need possession if he's touching the ball while his hand is out of bounds.

Hence "technically". Never said otherwise. Just seems like nitpicking in the grand scheme of this game. If he had possession and carried it out of bounds I'd understand the feathers.

Grazed the end line? This is a hard call to miss and I think they even watched on replay.

My stake.:hi:

When you used the word possession it confused me because it is not required for him to illegally touch the ball while out of bounds.

You guys are making it sound like he was camped out of bounds. Nothing egregious and calls balanced out.

I know what's not required. Call was missed. No big deal.

No, I'm not. I said his hand was 6" out of bounds, which in the photo looks to be 100% true and not debatable.

You ****ing said "grazed the line" (which is false) and have the nerve to tell me I'm exaggerating.
