1 Oregon vs. California

Because the rules allow for a team to go up to the line and snap the ball during a specific time-frame. It is the officials job to allow teams to play within the rules.

It doesn't favor Oregon at all. Any other team could do the same thing and the officials would do the same.

On that subject, what do you think of Tedford having his players fake injuries? A good lesson to teach college kids? Cheat if the rules aren't designed to stop it!

If the players are not set yet, they can make movements at the line of scrimmage as long as they are not intended to simulate starting a play.

You see this type of thing often from college to NFL in hurry up and huddle systems where linemen point to defenders, etc. while at the line, before the QB signals to set.

and oregon is not taking the advantage of the rules as well? i'm not huge on faking injuries (though we did have two guys who never returned btw), but it seems a bit silly for oregon to ***** about this.

According to Kelly, lots of teams have run that against them and failed.

USC and Nevada are good offensive teams. New defense. I think it's understandable. He should get at least some redemption points for stopping the #1 offense.

Similar to how USC had the worst reputation when they were leading the conference and Washington years before that. People tend to not like the fans of teams that beat them.

The thing is, I hear about people making these bad fan claims. But, I go to a lot of games and never see anything like they describe. The Oregon fans aren't acting any different than the other fans. At USC, we were heckled left and right by USC fans (and even a few random Boise State fans that were there). That happens at football games.

No. He wasn't pushed into him. But, he was drifting into him with his back turned. A blocker doesn't have to get out of the way if a defender drifts into them, back turned or not. Otherwise, we would have a bunch of dudes running backwards down the field.

well. not many teams oregon has played have cal's talent in the front 7. obviously if they play another one the same thing could happen.

i take it you didn't watch said games. USC and OSU literally got ZERO resistance. the team gave up.

Oregon had a worse reputation than SC before oregon was good. this is a fact. look at the sportsillustrated poll.

"drifting into him" is still a block in the back. intent is not needed

Gerald Williams flopped a couple of times against Oregon here in Knoxville.

It's no different than Duke players and all the "charges" they take.
