'10 AR RB Michael Dyer

hey Indianavol4eva, ignore that cat. I'm sure he's expressed his opinion at some point in his 900 posts.... and I'm sure noone told him "that's why you're fat and the coaches recruit"

keep posting bro

Are mosley and dyer coming for a visit? Anyone know?

They came in earlier in the summer, and loved it. The coaches expect them both to come on a official together. The coaches are recruiting Mosley as a OG, that he could grow into a quality player in their training program. I think UT has a GREAT shot at landing both of these guys. TIFWIW

I don't think we have chance at them but

Mack Brown
Roderick Smith
Anthony Barr
Giovanni Bernard
Eduardo Clements

I may be wrong but they look better against better competition.

The only ones we have an outside shot with are Bernard and Clements. I would take Dyer. He is going to be a star.

Dyer has a chance to be special but honestly how much is he needed? I agree you have to recruit him and you take his commitment if he wants to come. But we need some linemen bad. We need LB's we need Wr's. We already have 16 commit's how many more are we going to take? I have heard from 6 more all the way to 12. If it is in the 6 range we have to get more help up front first.

I think Dyer is a good back. But if I could chose any back. I would take Barr followed by Strom Johnson. I think both of these kids are going to be superstars. Dyer could be but his HS competion makes you wonder. I do like his size though.

I assume with this new staff they are going to take the maximum amount of players. They need new kids to fit their scheme, etc.

We lose Hardesty and we will get and take 1 top RB. LSU Seastrunk is not a done deal. We may well end up with Dyer in that slot and I would be happy with it.

By the way, Oku and B Brown are not the only studs in the backfield for UT 2010,
Toney Williams looked VERY strong prior to his injury.

You also left off Poole, who up to this point has outperformed everyone during the scrimmages. That is four there. I don't know about a RB unless you get a stud. Like Seastrunk, Dyer, etc....

True Poole is performing well but by next year the younger players will have taken him over at that position. I think a guy like Seastrunk would be able to make an immediate impact. Dyer isn't a real need at all.

I would love to have Seastrunk. He is a freak of an athlete. But I think after all is said and done he lands at LSU with Reed. JMO.

But if I have learned one thing about this staff it is to not count them out on the recruiting trail. At least until the papers are signed.

I would still love to have Strom Johnson. I think he is going to be playing in the NFL if he stays healthy. He looks like a man among boys and he plays the best players in Ga. Week in week out.

Storm is a good player but heard he has attitude problems.

Yes, we will be getting an official from them for sure. It is sounding really good for UT. Regardless of what the Hog fans say, I think we are Dyer's #2 at the moment. And I always like UTs chances to get a player when the only teams they have beat out are Auburn and Arkansas...

could dyer come in and compete with Brown for the starting job as a freshman?

No, he will probably get some carries and be a solid freshmen RB, but he wouldn't be able to compete with Bryce for the starting spot. According to Rivals, Brown is the best RB out of high school in the last 6 years. He was the only RB ranked as the #1 overall player since Adrian Peterson. Dyer is good, but he's not that good...

The 5’9”, 220lb running back had narrowed his choices to the Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee, but says his relationship with Gus Malzahn helped put the SEC school over the top.
