Yeah. Its going to be hard for Fla to pull him when he is right in USC's back yard.

Hard is an understatement. Would be a jaw dropping shocker if Powell didn't choose USC.

Not quite as shocking as when we pissed away a 28 point 4th quarter lead against FSU. But not too far behind.

So there are some new vids of this kid. He is playing DE on the field and doing a great job knocking people down. There is some other vids of him at a Combine in CA running routes and catching. Guy has the athleticism to be a pretty good TE too. He towered over the DB/Corner recruits and bullied them around physically. He caight the ball pretty well too. Great athlete.

James Cregg and Ed O are listed as his recruiters.

Can you imagine Jaques Smith and Ronald Powell lined up right beside each other. Talk about scaring the opposing QB. I really like this guy, he would be a HUGH grab !

Any new news on this guy ?

“Man, it was a great experience,” said Powell. “It was just great coming into Coach (Urban) Meyer’s office and watching a highlight film and video of the team with President Obama, seeing how the players do things, how they interact with the coaches, seeing the weight room and just being in the Swamp was great. I was just thinking about all the great players who have played there on Saturdays. I would rate the visit a 10.”

“After seeing Florida and seeing SC, I love the schools, I love the coaches, but if feel there’s a better place for me, then that’s where I’ll go,” said Powell. “I’m looking at the schools where the coaches are recruiting me."

Powell said he will definitely take official visits to USC and Florida, but he said he wants to visit a few other schools, too. He said he would like to visit California, maybe UCLA and Tennessee.

Of course CUM would show a video of Obama with the team. He does everything backwards as hell. I hate him. He has to sell Obama to pick up a recruit ? What an ass !

I thought the media could not cover camps anymore? WTF

Is it a secondary violation? If so USC can afford it no spotlight on them for those as there is on UT. I know they may of had there own guy video tape but if they release the tapes it is media and I beliebe violates letter of rule unless specific exemption in the drafting.

per espn...
The defensive line was an impressive group. In addition to Jeffcoat and Uko there were several other good prospects, led by Ronald Powell (Moreno Valley, Calif./Rancho Verde). Physically, Powell (6-4, 224 pounds) impressed with a lean and muscular build. He was tough in one-on-one drills and had great success quickly getting the blockers shoulder, sinking in a rip move and turning the corner. In the afternoon session he ran with the linebackers and actually fit in well. He is an athletic player and while end will likely be his home in college, that versatility was impressive to see.
