On that same page, there's also been a thought that maybe Pete, knowing Lane needs help has been recruiting Jesse, but telling him that his better interest is to go to UT. Pete and Lane are close, and maybe Jesse is Pete's way of helping Lane. Everything is pure speculation. I must hand it to the boy, he has done the best piece of confusion I've ever seen. Either he is a genius, or he has a genius in his ear.

Either way I wish him the best... I hope he plays here, but he has done a lot for the program even if he doesn't.. There are a lot of recruits that have seen our name on the recruiting board becasue of him.. To be honest he seems like a good kid with a good family.... I do hope he thought about how good he would fit into the Big Orange family before he made his decision though.. I think he is to smart to see though UM's stuff , so I'm not worried about UF that much anymore..

It's been odd to me that Florida has been "In" this so much, but yet....he never spoke about them. It's been a UT-USC race. Which makes me wonder about a lot of things. I mean Lane is competing against the two biggest programs in the country for a 4 star quarterback. One is his former employer and the other is his biggest enemy....you gotta wonder if it's a ploy.

Florida runs a spread. This year they are going pro-style... yeah, until they realize that they suck. After tebow they will go spread. They are still recruiting spread players.

I just don't think PC is gonna be charitable with a recruit in his backyard. He doesn't want LK and EO thinkin they can just walk into SoCal and take one away. It opens up a door that I'm sure he's worked hard to close.

That's true 66. Either way, I still think that all of the plus's of UT outweigh USC. Even on their boards they have admitted that he has more opportunity coming here. Hopefully, he's realized that and is practicing putting on that orange hat.

Yup, i agree. PC doesn't have time to create a "ploy"... and if they did we would never ever find out. that would ruin their creds.

Both we and Florida are on Eastern Time. So....he's just either 1) advertising because that's what they told him to do. or 2) Making sure that we are watching for when he picks USC, or 3) Making sure that Florida and USC are watching when he puts on the orange.

I don't even wanna give Florida the privilege of being the fourth option.
