i know everyone is like, "shut up guys, dont worry, its July not February" bla bla bla but my biggest concern for losing JS is the imediate implications it will have on recruiting. personally, id like to bag milton next week and ambles before the summer is over. that may not be entirely realistic, but having Scroggins commit compared to 1) no QB at all, or 2) a JuCo QB will certainly give us the edge in that department. it would also help us in our chances with Cobbs and half a dozen linemen. i know we can "wait" until the season is over but i fear that by losing Scroggins we've lost at least 1 or 2 recruits that will sign elsewhere and stay there. just MO.
I honestly believe that if we lose out on Scroggins, the staff focus' on Hendrix. Hendrix really like UT, but we waited to offer the scholorship. Yes he goes to a catholic school which makes the ND choice more obvious, as well as Moeller always sending kids out to ND, but since then, Notre Dame got another QB commit and may make Hendrix waver, thus giving us a better chance at landing him. Only time will tell.
Look... Bray is looking like he is the top QB at the Elite 11.... and he has committed already... but to SDSU, and has said he will not turn away other suitors... He has won the accuracy drills two days in a row, and will come out as the top QB at the EA Elite 11.
