I wanted to be wrong on Scroggins, and have him shock everybody and select the Vols, but my gut was unfortunately right. So, now we let Lamaison announce and prepare for the next phase of QB recruiting be it Brunetti, Grayson, whomever. Trust me, JC or Nick have a good rebound this season, the QBs will come, but it's hard to sell your program when the only thing known about you is what the drive-by media says about your secondary violations. Give CLK time, and we will get just about any QB we want.

i dont think scubbins realizes the magnitude of being the quarterback at tennessee. He would of been adored right from the start, standing ovation the first time he got in (wouldnt happen at usc because no one would no who he is until he got in a did something). All of the excitement and energy thats goes into every football season in knoxville would have overshadowed playing at home in front of family and friends. and he would of been right in the middle of it. left coasters just dont get it until they experience it.

Brunetti sux, he's not anykind of answer. The staff has got to think Rettig can be pulled away from 1-AA boston college, or this Tyler Bray seems like a real possibilty. The only real loss of Scroggins would be momentum. We will forget this kid and possibly never hear from him again.

Well now that it is over with....I find myself a little bummed out, but more than anything...glad this is over! Is there another highschool kid who could make an impact...or are the best of the rest not high enough caliber to play in the SEC?

Good luck to you Scroggins....even though common sense says you are at the very bottom of a talented, young depth chart and might not see playing time for a long time...hard to blame a kid for following his heart.....oh what could have been.

Bray's getting attention. Check his thread out. He outperformed Scroggins in the Elite 11.
