if im not mistaking Kiffin said he knew he was going to USC about a week before he commited.
I agree with you, but I also think he played things a bit and should have told Kiffin sooner (assuming he didn't). However, I stop far short of 'casting him into the lake of fire' for it. He's young. We all do dumb sh*t when we're young..

Having said all that, if he were to change his mind and come to UT I would not have a problwith that at all...

Now that you mention, seems like I remember something like that. I was thinking maybe he should have told him, say within a day or so after telling CPC he was coming to USC.

It's amazing how some people allow their feelings to be hurt by the decisions of 17-year-old kids.
Negative...I said before, it doesn't hurt my feelings one bit, but seeing our shot at getting at least one top QB prospect was a MUST, and it damn near went down the sh!tter cause of Scroggins.

We lucked out that Bray subsequently flipped, and turned out to be a much better prospect than we thought. I'm glad Jesse Who (that's what we'll be calling him in a year or two) chose elsewhere, and glad we got Bray instead. :dance2:

And told Carroll over 3 WEEKS beforehand. You do the math on that...and in the mean time...all the top prospects were either off the board or were in the process of doing so. Like Rettig and Reese.

I don't care if he chooses another school or even flops around, but the kid KNEW DAMN WELL this was a critical time period because the last few we were after committed during this time frame. He didn't have the courtesy to let CLK and staff know the same time he let CPC know.

I'm sure some of you have a different opinion, and I'm not trying to convince you otherwise...just stating I have solid reasons to say...no thanks if he decides to change his mind. Stay with USC and enjoy the benchride.

Kiffin is no kid's *****. If Jesse behaved inappropriately he'd pull his offer and tell him to screw himself.

Who are we talking about here?...I forgot. I think this Jesse Who kid is waiting anxiously for a scholarship to hold the clipboard in one hand and Matt Barkley's water bottle in the other...
:dance2:Go Barkley....Go Barkley...Go, Go...It's your birthday...

+1000. Whether anyone likes it or not, if Jesse decides he wants to come here thats where he will be imo. It will be great to have 2 highly rated QB's in this class. Everyone know one of them may not turn out

Nothing like rooting for a teenager to fail.

I'm tired of players thinking it's all about them. Sure beg him enough and roll a red carpet out from Neyland to Ca and maybe he will come. He would be doing to Carrol the same thing BJ coleman did to us. Keep away punk.

And why is he a punk again?
Because he commited to the school in his backyard?
Or because he commited to the school he always dream of playing for and had him hyped with an offer?
Or because thats where his family would more than likely see him play in person?
Or because he is just a punk?

Yea I'm watching the replay of that game. Be mad if you want cause he didn't commit to us, but JS is a baller!!!! Better yet (he knows how to LOOK OFF DEFENDERS!!!) Throws are nice and tight, moves well in the pocket while seeing the entire field. If he's and EE withsome work, he could be out there from day one starting. I know he can't be worst that what we have now.

When Scroggins starts as a RS sophomore at USC, he won't be looking back at all. Not one second.
He'll be damn glad he held the clipboard. That meant he was looking at plays every game and watching the plays develop in front of him.

Yeah i warched that game and i thought he did very well overall but really did down the stretch. 23 yard pass on 3rd and 20 to set up the go ahead score

fyp...by that time, he'd have to beat out 3 additional QB classes. Good luck with that...let us know how it works out for you, OK? :salute:

Beat me to it lol...My thoughts exactly...Scroggins will most likely waste his career standing on the sidelines wondering what life would've been like if He had picked with his head instead of his heart....The good of this is, He will have a chance to get a quality degree from USC....That should be good enough to get a job managing a 7-11 or something similar

I'd take Jesse in a heart beat. You guys saying he "wronged us" by going to the instate school and wanting to live up the recruiting process (which you only get to do once) are crazy. Plus we need the competition. I don't want this team lead by ginger next year. Come on back Jesse.
