There's no way that you could say definitively that either would start over the other. And I'm not even sure that Scroggins is an EE so Bray might have had the jump on him anyway. No harm in fans moving on from a guy who may have strung UT along a bit.

Almost any recruiting expert in their right mind would say that Scroggins is much much more ready now than Bray.

He didn't string UT along at all. He kept them in the running in case he didn't get a USC offer, and once he did, he was a done deal to USC. Basically everybody (including the staff) knew that. The only people that didn't were ignorant UT fans (myself included) that refused to accept that fact.

im thankful to Scroggins for getting us a little bit of media alongside USC but i am still a little bitter that he chose them. i was a believer.

Scroggins is clearly the more capable player at this point, but Bray has more long-term attributes ('11 job is his to lose). If we don't pull Simms or Newton I believe he could beat out the ginger.

So what is everyone order of taking the 3? (Scroggins, Newton, and Simms)

Here is mine....
1. Newton
2. Scroggins
3. Simms (There is a reason he didnt make it at UL)

I'm not going to get in an argument with you jmva. We all have our opinions. I don't want Scroggins, you do. If the coaches take him, I will be fine with it. It's really not a big deal like you made it out. IMO is Bray >>>>>>> Scroggins...

Quick question... What if and a big if we stop going after Jesse and Bray gets hurt? I think thats the big thing with taking 2 2010 quarterbacks in this class. Then we have a quarterback that prob will not make it back for next season. Then who will we turn to? Ginger? Doubt it. That may be where the JuCo comes in. JMO But if they can get Scroggins they will take him.

I don't see us starting Bray next year. A JUCO or Ginger will be the starter. That redshirt year for Bray will be huge like it was for Leinart, Sanchez, etc...

I'm 100% positive they will take Scroggins if they can. Doubt he will ever visit though...

Obviously I and the coaching staff disagree with you.

As I said before, there is a reason the staff wanted Scroggins ahead of Bray, and that's no disrespect to Bray.

Sorry if I pointed you out but people that don't want Scroggins are just plain dumb and ignorant.

People who think they can evaluate QBs when they are a teenager are just plain dumb and ignorant. Sorry if I pointed you out...

Bray came out of nowhere. The staff hadn't seen him. He hadn't been to any camps or anything. They weren't going to offer him on film. Then he dominated Scroggins at the USC camp (supposedly cuz Scroggins was hurt) and at the Elite 11...

LV, I a few weeks ago I was hearing that the staff was still going after Scroggins hard. If we sign a JUCO QB are they still going to be going after Scroggins.

They've never let up on him since he committed to USC. Word has it that his dad is the one who contacted the staff about a visit for the Memphis. We will see if he ever shows, I doubt it...

I can't see us signing 3 QBs...

I never evaluated either of them I just sided with what the staff thought, and they clearly preferred Scroggins over Bray.

Scroggins had several great camps, a few of which he was even injured in, and Bray had one great camp in the Elite 11 and a decent one at the USC camp.

Also its probably worth noting that Scroggins is putting up better stats than Bray while playing in a much, much harder competition.

Fair enough...

Bray is a Vol and that's what really matters to me. According to just about everyone, he has more potential than anyone in this class. I think Bray's stats are fine considering he is playing half the game, and in that half, he is splitting time with another college bound QB...
