If we could get Scroggins we should take him there is a very good possibility that if we dont get two qbs in this class then we would only have 2 qbs on the depth chart next year or possibly just possibly one. I don't see Stephens staying after this year.

I dont think Stephens is going anywhere... BUT we have lamiasan (sp) and is it Rozier? I doubt they will contribute but just saying... Not getting Jesse is not the end of the world. Dont want someone that dont want to be all vol

Yes, I'm pretty sure he could transfer to a non FBS school and not lose any eligibility. See B.J. Coleman

Rozier left early in the fall.

We don't need to chance losing Bray. Let's all quit this Scroggins nonsense. Tyler probably reads this all the time.

I know but we need an experienced backup for Bray when he is a sophmore junior and senior.

Rozier isn't on the team anymore if i'm not mistaken.

if scroggins wanted to come to UT, he would be taken in. Bray isn't scared of competition, and if he is, then do we really want him? I want the best player to play, and if scroggins were to beat bray out for the position, id want him to play.

If Scroggins would committ we would lose Bray.

Well then thats sad if we have a QB that is afraid of comptetion if he is afraid of Scroggins ,which I doubt he is considering he lit it up in the Elite 11 camp and Scroggins didn't do much of anything, then I don't want him I still think that Scroggins will be better as a freshman than Bray will. Bray will be a stud as a sophmore and up tho.

Here's my dilemma...I think that Bray has a great deal of upside. He does what no other QB in the class can: Make ALL the throws on a VERY CONSISTENT basis. That said, I think Scroggins may be the more ready of the two to play as a Freshmen. He's more physically mature. Either way, I think that Bray is the better QB of the two. He is the most accurate of any QB in the class, the most consistent making the tough throws, and (from what I've read) is good at making the quick (right) decisions in the pocket. I'd go as far as to say that Bray is the best in this class, talent-wise. Sim(m)s can't make the all the throws that Bray can and is eating his way onto the OL, Bell is a MAJOR project, Heaps is showing flaws in his game left and right, Paul Jones is VASTLY overrated....

If you were to give me a choice of a top 3, I'd take Bray, Scroggins and Connor Wood. I think Wood has a chance to be really good (too bad Gilbert is in front of him at TX).

This is such a weird year for the QB position.

Lamaison is a joke with the lineman were recruting he would have to roll out every play to be able to see he is too short.

Then IowaVols57 said: "drew brees says hi!"

... which was a better answer than mine, so, + 1

How could you compare a kid that has had 2 scholarship offers his whole life to an all pro QB?

as you can see i bolded "he is too short". I compared height not as a overall QB. My point is you dont have to be that tall to be a good QB. Do you see now smarty?
