Again, you don't know that that didn't happen. Obviously, the staff wouldn't have quit recruiting Jesse, anyway. Rettig and Rees "got away" because the staff wasn't sure they wanted either of them. Notre Dame and BC were.

This. :good!: Anyway, Scroggins is not coming to UT. Period. He wants to be rich & famous following in the footsteps of Sanchez, Cassel & Leinart to USC & the NFL. Who can blame him?

But we will get Bray and IMO we are better off. :rock:

Until then, you've got a stud QB who will start 3 years at QB, then go to the NFL where he gets top 10 money guaranteed. He will get that money and will run with it. It's no different than why Eric Berry will go to the NFL this year.

Few, and I mean VERY few QBs start 4 years at a college. When that QB can get guaranteed money, he'll be gone.
Now, follow me on this one. I know it'll be tough, as I've laid it out many times and it's been over your head.

2011 Junior (starter) (draft-eligible)

Scroggins
2010 Freshman (redshirt)
2011 Freshman (backup)
2012 Sophomore (possible starter)

i think this is flawed thinking,, there would be two other classes of quarterbacks after that. Knowing SC, the next two years wold be top rated as well, and this qb class is not thought of highly from what I understand.

If im not mistaken isnt one of the top junior quarterbacks in America from California and from the same highschool that barkley went too?

Like Ive said before....even IF JS wants to come on an official, I dont think the staff should accommodate him at all. He had his shot, and I TRULY believe we got the most talented QB in this class committed right now. If he wants to pay his own way and come see a game.....go right ahead. I will be HIGHLY disappointed in our staff if they allow JS to take an official here.

People are excited around here about Bray and the possibilities for him. There are some new born Vol fans around here and we even see some UT gear worn at some games. Hopefully Bray can stay healthy , work hard and have a nice career.

That is just awesome! I couldn't be happier w/ how our QB situation worked out this year. Especially considering all the frantic worry we had after a couple other options fell through. Ironically, I believe we came out w/ the best one! We appreciate the enthusiasm from your hometown for the Vols and for Bray, flip999.

1 of the reasons we wanted to get an early QB commit was to get some WR commits.............
I think we seem to be doing fine in that department.

I don't want him, i would much rather a bray this year and get a high rated QB next year. If we get Scroggins then the top rated QBs might get turned off.

Is the scroggins visit rumor legit??? I'm sure kiffin would want to take him b/c it would add to the competition at QB

If we could get Scroggins we should take him there is a very good possibility that if we dont get two qbs in this class then we would only have 2 qbs on the depth chart next year or possibly just possibly one. I don't see Stephens staying after this year.

We don't need to chance losing Bray. Let's all quit this Scroggins nonsense. Tyler probably reads this all the time.
