Scroggins can go to San Diego State, I think they had a de-commit a while back that chose the Vols.

We are heaping too much criticism on this kid. Why would he worry about a post-Barkley era when he still has two years to find a QBOTF? Next year's class is going to be VERY talented. Carroll is gone because of money, conflicts with Garrett, and NCAA investigations, and probably a small realistic portion of him wanted to go back to the NFL.

And all of you watching the AA game saying he has no future need to come back to earth and realize these kids are playing with guys they've never played with, not running their HS offense for the first time in a couple of years, and playing with receivers they have built no chemistry with whatsoever.

Wonder if Telfer's internet group will draw the NCAA's attention? I thought the "use of social networking sites in recruiting" was one of the things the NCAA was investigating here. Kind of ironic if his attempts to "save the class" result in further NCAA investigations.

Wow an Ultimatum....Some people make me laugh...The kid is simply trying to decide his future. He would like to know who the coach is and who may be contacting him before he makes the biggest decision of his life to this point...None of the coaches have contacted him since this went down. What if the new coach decides Scroggins does not fit his offense (ala Tahj Boyd)?? Then he made a terrible decision. And ends up missing out on 2 years while he bounces back and forth from Juco to another school...

If they dont hire a coach soon he is saying I'm out...I dont blame him at all. If I was a top QB in this class and my head coach bounced and nobody from the University called me then I would be a little upset as well.

I dont think we take Scroggins but it would not be a bad pick up either. More competition the better chance we have...

Dont know about Simms at Bama. Looks like he needs to lay off the doughnuts. WOW. He was 230 at the all-star game and he is 18. That can be a problem...

I think everbody is putting way to much stock into these all-star games. It is one game. It is obvious Scroggins has a good arm, he is mobile and I think would fit perfect in our system. We are putting all of our eggs in the Bray basket. If he doesnt work out I'd like to have another option capable of tearing it up.

I don't know what article all the idiots calling Scroggins a prima donna read (doesn't seem like ya did period) but the one I read simply stated that he wants to win a championship by 2012 and preferred to do it with USC. Hence the comment about being able to do it with the current recruits. He even stated he did not feel betrayed by Carrol and understood his reasons for leaving. U guys need a lesson in reading comprehension. Try reading what's inside these things: " " and not what some writer infers... That is all.

I really have no problem with JS telling this to USC. I think it's smart really. With 3 weeks till NSD he is gonna need time to look around and find a school that has all it's crap together. If we didn't have Bray i'd say take him in a heartbeat.

And about Simms. I have no problem with offering him a Scolly. He is back counted so he counts in the last class. Imo it shows that the staff doesn't think La'maison (sp?) will be here much longer. And i think Simms has a better chance of starting then La'Maison does. still isn't much.

I think the whole thing at USC is crazy...PC leaves because he knows the NCAA punishment pertaining to Reggie Bush investigation is about to be made public...then the Joe McKnight investigation has just started...Pete knew the time was right to flew the coop...then the basketball side with OJ Mayo...USC is about to bite the bullet I hope...BTW, I don't want Jesse Scroggins...he made his bed, let him sleep in it...Go VOLS!

I'm going on record right now and stating that Bray will have a FAR better career, both college and pro, than Scroggins will. I am not basing this on just the UA where Scroggins looked horrible. I am basing this on arm mechanics, history of pocket passers vs. scramblers and Bray's humbleness. Bray appears ready to soak up everything he can and wants to be taught. I feel Scroggins thinks he's already a 1st round draft pick and will not grow nearly as much. Yes, he's more "athletic" than Bray but last I checked my mom could beat Manning in a foot race and Brees supposedly can't throw through a paper towel and is too short. Both have great vison and understand the game. This is what will make Bray top notch. I feel it in me bones.

Well considering Jesse Scroggins isn't a scrambler, you should probably do a bit more homework. No coach or recruiting service appears to believe that he's a scrambler do they?

Why do you? Is it because he's black? Or because they list him as "agile"? lol jk

I'm content with Bray, however, we would ignorant to not at least hear Scroggins out. I know a lot of people are bitter that he chose USC on here, but put yourself in his shoes. If georgia offered u a scholly and was in your ear constantly, but your dream was to play at UT, close to home, what would you do?

Moreover, a little competition goes a long way! How wonderful would it be to have Scroggins and Bray competing for the future QB of our team under Kiffin's direction! So in conclusion, we love you Bray, but get Jesse Scroggins in here too!

Bray + Scroggins is better than just Bray. and given the importance of QB play, I'll say it is more important than another DL recruit... Man I wish we hadn't given simms a scholly
