Just a quick question...Why are we talking to Nance if we don't have room for another QB in this class? Help me out here.

We need another QB pretty bad, at the same time UT will have an outstanding chance to land an even better QB next year, so I say forget about this kid, get what we can get this year and get a QB next year.

LOL at the comment about Prater. I think he'd much rather take part in a rising program than a program that is about to be dealt major NCAA sanctions.

I understand where he is coming from, as someone else has posted, I think that he is just trying to see where the cards are going to fall, thus far it is the biggest choice in his life, thus far it has been a rained out parade if you catch my drift.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is beefed up to *sound* like he's giving orders when he's just trying to decide where the best place is for him to play college football. Under a coaching staff that isn't put together or in place it makes sense that he's wavering. The first thought most of us had here was "how will Carroll leaving impact UT?" so there shouldn't be any hostility launched at Jesse.

With that said, I really think our QB class is in place and we have bigger fish to fry in 2011 that we've already started laying the groundwork on.

I agree Eric, I think the ship has sailed on Scroggins with Bray in school already and Simms already signing his LOI..

didn't take it as some kind of demand, just insight into his decision making process. he already anticipates sitting for two years otherwise he wouldn't have gone to USC with Barkley. if he decides to go elsewhere he's looking for a school he thinks can compete for a national title in 2012 (when he'd likely be ready to start) because he was already committed to one.

Sounds like you haters have some sour grapes because the guy didn't pick UT. Come on now, these's no ultimatum here. Just stating if he doesn't know who his coach is this weekend, he'll start considering a schools with a coach.

If USC doesn't name a successor by then, Scroggins said, "I'm going to look for a college who could win the national championship in 2012."


The kid said if he doesn't know who the coach is by Saturday morning, he is "going to look for a college who could win the NC in 2012. He didn't say he was for sure going elsewhere if they didn't have a coach by Saturday. If he is an EE, he has to be enrolled by Jan. 27th (Is that the right date?), which only gives him a very short time to take an official visit or two and make a life decision. He has been put into a bad situation that he had nothing to do with. Give him a break. I would almost bet Kiffin would find him a spot (along with Prater and Riley)if he (they)wanted to come to UT.

Scroggs could be the reason Pete quit. He saw in the Under Armor game it was apparent that he did not have a quarterback after Barkley leaves... Can't believe this kid with his comments! Apprently he didn't watch his all star game...

I don't think He's giving ultimatum, but I don't think we need him either. I think Bray will be just what we need. The only QB that I see that might be better is Bama commit Phillip Sims. That kid is awsome! Back to USC, I think the recruits should be thinking of the coming sanctions instead of who the coach will be. If the NCCA comes down as hard as expected, It might be several years before USC can even think about about a national championship. It's not gonna matter if you have all 5-star recruits if you don't have enough backup to spell them, also injuries, grades, etc..
