barkley starting was the plan all along and actually works against TN because Barkley will be gone by Scroggins redshirt sophmore year as was the plan.....if corp would have won the job then Scroggins might have rethought his choice since it would have delayed Barkley and then himself.

No reason for him not to stay at USC, IMO. If Barkley flops or gets hurt, Corp will be right there to step in.

After Matt Barkley did that winning drive and is now the USC hero, I think it is safe to say Scroggins has 0% chance to start at USC.. unless of course Barkley gets hurt.

There have been several people that have told me this and it was after Barkley was named starter. You don't take both because of the 2011 class's crop of QB's. You want to have the room to take 2 out of that class since it is much stronger.

They will have a higher rated prospect by then who will start..Scroggins will be lucky to see a down. Bring on Bray, he wants to be here and has way more upside anyways.

Scroggins enrolls and red-shirts his frosh yr, Barkley enters the NFL draft as a Jr, leaving Scroggins a good 2 yr run as starting QB for probably the best program in the country.
