We bring Bray in January, force feed his our offensive play book, put 25 to 30 pounds on that frame, make him pump weights while he sleeps, and spring him on our opponents in the first game in 2010. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it. Go Vols....FOREVER!!!!!!

why do people keep bringing this guy up..he isnt coming here...Barkley starting and doing well works in his favor because it means he can come in redshirt, then be backup as redshirt freshman, start as redshirt sophmore...it was the plan all along

I do not want Scroggins. The whole press conference as if USC cared whether he went there or not. We were the only one excited and wanting him. That train has left the station from my perspective.

Maybe we need to sign about 10 QB's in the next two classes and maybe one of them will work out......

I would rather just take a guy who is All-Vol like Bray than Scroggins. If we drop Bray and take Scroggins and Scroggins suddenly has a change of heart on signing day then we are screwed.

Why are we even talking about Scroggins coming to the VOLS. I can not find any information that indicates he still wants to play for the VOLS.

Bray will not start immediately his freshman year. There's no way.

The absolutely ONLY reason Tebow is back at UF is because he is NOT a NFL style QB, and the draft projections probably had him in the 4-5th round at best. If Tebow were a pro-style QB like Barkley he would be on a NFL roster right now. If Barkley has success like Tebow, he is good as gone after his JR year.

What makes you so sure? He is, by most all account, more talented than either Schaeffer or Ainge. You cant say there is "no way" Bray starts as a true Frosh. Its ignorant to say that without him even played his SR year of HS football.

pete carroll doesn't lose recruits like this. i'm sure he is telling scroggins he will have a chance to unseat barkley.

If Pete Carroll is selling that and Scroggins is buying that... then I wouldn't want Scroggins as quarterback anyways. Anyone with a brain knows he isn't unseating Barkley.

Barkley's contributions to the game winning drive against Ohio State...

3rd and 8 on USC 16. 21 yard completion.
1st and 10 on USC 37. 26 yard completion.
3rd and 9 on OSU 36. 8 yard completion.
4th and 1 on OSU 28. 1 yard Barkley run.
3rd and 2 on OSU 6. 4 yard Barkley run.
Two point attempt. Completion for 2 points
18-15 on the road in front of 106,000 people.

60 yards and four 1st downs worth of contribution.

Scroggins should hope for a redshirt because Barkley is the starter until he is injured, goes pro or graduates.

I'll agree with that, barring injury, and then it would probably be Corp anyway. IMO, Phillip Sims from Va. an Alabama commit is the best out there right now. He has all the attributes right now. Physically, he could start next year for 'Bama. That would be a great "steal" if we could get him. Remember, it's only verbal right now.:drool:

oh...I guess I took that statement to mean that Bray was more "ready to play immediately" than Scroggins...

in which case, i don't think he is...
