The VQ one says that hes working out with the team and the staff is starting from scratch with him and that Reaves thinks he has potential and he is doing good

Or for those who prefer punctuation:

The most recent VQ article says Bray worked out with the team for the first time today. The staff is starting from scratch in all aspects of his game. David Reaves is very excited about him and believes his potential is limitless.

Which is all a polite way of saying he is very green and not a chance in heck he starts against Oregon or whoever we play first.

or it could mean it's the kid's first day in a system he's never seen before and it may take a little while to get him up to speed.

Lol at those trashing him for not taking the starting job in his first day on campus. On a side note, his arms are like beanpoles compared to Nick Stephens. Pick Nick has some guns.

That's not accurate. He's closer to a 4.9 in the 40.

We're not recruiting him as a dual threat. He'll run about as often as Crompton did this season. Only when things break down and it's wide open. So his 40 time really doesn't matter too much.

Crompton was a hell of a lot faster than that out of high school. he was listed around 4.5 or 4.6, though I don't think he's actually that fast.

Who cares about rankings. Bradford and McCoy were both three stars. They turned out pretty darn good.

McCoy was a four star in quite a few mags. I know Phil Steele had him as the number 12 overall (including both Dual threat and pro style) out of high school

Not sure if you are referring to me, but I'm not trashing him. In fact, I think we will be perfect for the system in a few years.

I was just reading between the lines and got the feeling the vibe the coaches were sending was that he met their expectations, didn't exceed them, didn't fall short.

He and Milton both were / are extremely nervous. very, very wide eyes... totally expected of a kid who was in high school last week, heck first of this week
