Are you guys really looking at a drop back QBs 40? Look at his film. He moves fairly well in the pocket, which is all that matters for a QB. The dude plays basketball too. It's not like he can't move.

everyone is takeing the 40 to seriously... think about what a 40 time is.... it is a straight run for 40 yards. that is so worthless with a qb. It is vision and field presence, taking a step up or out of the pocket is the main key while know whats around you. Brunetti, has a rather slow 40... but he is the top "dual threat" QB.

A pro-style QB really only needs enough mobility to be able to roll out or move around in the pocket to avoid the pass rush. You don't have to have 4.6 straight-line speed to do that.

Let's remember the team we will be feilding his freshman year. The O line will be talented but young. Best to let whoever we get take a RS that year and let the Juco/Stephens take the beating. Esp. if he's really slow.

Lots of people can run a fast 40 time but are slow in moving side to side. 40 times are SOOOOOOOOOOO overrated. GAME SPEED! that is what matters.

Tennessee.
Clint Stoerner never played for UT...try again...like this ridiculous arguing is accomplishing anything.

If Ainge had better mobility he could have taken us much further than he did while he was here. Same with Peyton.
Why choose one or the other, when you can have both? This is a stupid discussion...even Heaps and Rettig has a decent set of wheels

who can give us both.

Do we win the National Title if Stoerner doesn't drop that ball?

But seriously, watch his film and actually read about Bray. Everyone says he can move fairly well. He's not a statue like some of you seem to think.

Hey flip999:
Since you are obviously pretty close to the situation, what's your take on UT's chances to get Bray. Any chance he shows up in Knoxville after he finishes his OK camp?
If he visits UT, then I like our chances. Keep us informed, and thanks for the info.
I think he will visit.

He is more agile than you might think. He can move around the pocket and pick up yards if needed. He plays all 5 positions in basketball . He plays alot of pt. guard, especially against pressing teams.

Is this "who can ask the most ridiculous question" thread? I just told you...this is like trying to have a serious discussion with a 2yr old

haha, try to answer the question. Instead of hiding behind insults. I just asked you who you think is as accurate and as skilled as a QB, and can run well.

This guys got a solid arm and he doesnt look that slow. He can move around in the pocket quite nice. We need him. We need immediately

I just can't get excited about the kid, not matter what he does in camps...they don't have DE's, with freakish size/speed bearing down on him like you'd see in the SEC.
Give me a prospect who can outrun a 320lb DL, please :)

If we are trying to build a USC / NFL factory type program we won't be recruiting the scramblers. Look at the USC QB's. Look at the Super Bowl champion QB's. Big Ben is about as mobile as they get. I don't think Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or Eli Manning can outrun a single Defensive End or DL in the NFL.

Bray was looking good!! Scroggins didn't make the top 5. Unless we can steal Heaps from BYU... then i think Bray is our guy.

who is Chandler Whitmer?

A QB committed to Illinois. If he was taller he'd probably be the #1 QB in the class. He's maybe 6'0 on a good day from what I've heard.

Yep listed at 6'1 but more than likely 6.... he is deadly accurate also, but not to strong and short.
