will everyone quit talkin about beer pong and talk about tyler are we gonna get him or not thats what i wanna know

does anyone even care about this qb anymore or should we change this thread to beer pong lol

Just to give you guys some info on Bray:

3 sport athlete

Starting QB since Soph with a 20-4 record

Plays 2 Guard on the Basketball team and avg over 20 pts a game as a Jr

Has Pitched for the Varsity Baseball team since his soph, His fastball was rumored to be in the low 90's

His Dad is 6'10" and well over 300lbs, so he will beef up

Is deceptively fast. Created alot of plays with his feet and is not afraid to run when given the chance

That 5:45 40 time I'm not sure is accurate

Best of all for you Vol fans, I heard his favorite pro player is Peyton Manning............

Some folks have commented on his low completion rate his junior year but ask any kingsburg fan and they will tell you that Kingsburg wide receivers average 7 or 8 drop passes a game mainly because the kids got a cannon...............also Brays final season numbers his junior year were based on him only playing about 2 and 1/2 quarters a game. Our coach rotates our QB's every game...........Had this kid played all four quarters through the season he would have easliy thrown for over 3500-4000 yards his junior year.............

Welcome To Volnation! Good 1st post!

So you seem to be inside the Bray camp, is he interested in us or is he solid to San Diego State?

Tyler?

ktown12 thank you for your half truths but here is reality. Tyler is the QB at his school there is no QB rotation. The other QB there has 600 yards and 88 attempts. So Tyler would not have had world changing stats if he played those minutes. It is likely those attempts from the other QB came in mop up or due to injury. Tyler is also the punter on the team.

In basketball he plays essentially center. This is verifiable at max prep. When there starting 5 is listed two guards a SF and a PF, then Tyler at SG. He is the tallest guy on the team and no center is listed yet there are two other guards on the court much smaller then him. He is the center. He is the leading everything on the team. Any one playing with guys who are 5'9 would be the leading everything when you are 6'6. There is on other guy on the team close to Tyler's height. Oh and I went ahead and looked at his competition's rosters. Yeah tallest guy on most teams was 6'2. In the games Tyler's team lost they had one guy who was around 6'5. That was the end of Tyler's game I guess.

In baseball he has a high ERA and does not seem like that great of a pitcher. If he had a low 90 fastball in high school this would not be so. He does look like a good hitter. He is a contact hitter and does not hit for power though.

Let me be the first to say I wouldnt trust anything that is out on the internet stats wise unless it comes from a VERY reliable source, Rivals, scout, etc.

well I checked my high school baseball team who is in AAA and it says they only played 9 baseball games last year.....

That is a website where anyone can add the score and stats......they rely on ppl to give them the correct stats. Not reliable

So do you have a better one? Cuz I think most who are in to this consider max prep to be the best. But I am open to looking at another service. I am glad you are attempting to defend this kid. I imagine if he makes on campus someone will be doing that a lot for him.

And what is your school. I am member and will look on mine. Sometimes that makes a difference.

Go to the California High School Governing body website, idk what that is. Or even go to the Kingsbury High school website. Those are pretty reliable IMO.

Matt- I searched and found nothing that compares to maxprep if you can provide a link to something I would look. I went to school site no stats found.

The Max Prep stats are detailed and specific seriously doubt there is a reliability problem. They match for Bray what is on rivals but could not find stats of back ups etc on rivals.

Thanks for creating the seed of doubt though. Gives people something to grab on to if they need it. You can PM me your school I will check it out on max prep may need to register to see all stats.

I believe the max preps stats are pretty close. They did rotate qb's some. Tyler probably played 60% during the season and around 70 to 75% during playoffs. The reason for the disparity in passing yards is because they changed their offense up some and ran the football when Lacy was in there. Tyler did not just play center in basketaball. Mostly 1, 2 and 3 pos. and his game his very nice. If you are looking at max preps, see how many 3's he made and assists he had, that is not what a post player does. Tyler did not pitch very much and was all league infielder.

requires coaches to input the data weekly. I use to put the info in weekly for our teams stats and player info. Thats why you may get different amounts of games played etc... is that a coach was not putting the info into the Maxpreps site.
