He's been pretty impressive at the Elite 11 so far.

I just read that on rivals. He got the Golden Gun award for accuracy. He looks tall, skinny, and slow, but he must be doing something right. He's a pretty highly rated 4 star. Not to far below Scroggins.

He is committed to San Diego State but he is far from solid. He's going to look around for sure. I just think the fact that he has already committed to a non-BCS school out there probably means he is at least going to stay somewhere on the West Coast.

Assuming Tennessee is getting bad news on Scroggins Tyler Bray from San Diego is a guy I would expect to get a call.

Someone had asked earlier and I mentioned it was a name we had heard in the spring, but not since. Doing some checking today, he is someone we expect the staff to at least feel out in the near future.

He committed to San Diego State earlier this month.

not sure what to make of this guy committing to san diego state...does he not expect any more offers?

on a side note, I didn't realize Al Borges was at SDSU now...

I've wanted this guy all along. A lot better than Heaps, Rettig, and Scroggins.:birgits_giggle:

I really did like his vid.

How so? Bray has 3 inches on him and they weigh about the same. 40 is the only thing Grayson has on him.

Look again

I posted this in the Grayson thread when the topic was off on Bray, but thought it was more appropriate here. I would say there is a 0% chance Bray stays committed to SDSU. However, by him jumping on this offer so quick, it makes you think when he does de-commit, it will be to another West Coast team. It seems like he might wanna stay closer to home. JMO.....

I don't think it's a huge deal. He may not be all that fast but hey, neither is Peyton Manning. :)

I agree that his speed isn't the biggest issue with this guy. I think he seems like he could definitely be a good QB one day. It's just his size that makes me wonder how quickly that might actually happen.

Looking at measureable....Grayson>>>>>>>>Bray IMO.
typically with QBs it is the immeasurables that are critical...

while it is nice to have an athletic QB, athleticism is not exactly a singular trait that QBs must possess...

you guys are all enamored with grayson just because he is a good athlete.

I agree about the immeasureable. And youre right, I think I like this guy (Grayson) so much because hes very athletic which I have always enjoyed watching. However, if you put QB prospect A up against QB prospect B with similar leadership, decision making and intelligence (the immeasurables I would consider important to QB's) and QB A is more athletic than QB B...I would take QB A all day long.

I don't want our QB running, I just want him to hit Nuke in stride. I want laser, rocket arm.

Neither do I. But with this O Line, I want a player who can move around in the pocket, escape the pocket when it breaks down and extend the play rather than being a tackling dummy back there. JMO.
