I do think Tennessee ends up with two quarterbacks this class unless they get too many other highly rated guys at other positions that they can't pass up. I am going to guess Tyler Bray and Turner Baty/Garrett Grayson.

Agree, if not Bray and Can Newton.

Only Heaps appears somewhat ready to contribute at this level. Looks like all QBs from this class will sit next year. Given this and Bray's apparent potential for growth (see his Father), he could be farther along than any of them come 2011 season.

“Well the staff has talked to me about a few things that have really caught my eye to have me visit,” said Bray. “For one the chance to play in the best conference against the best competition is one of them. I could really get good exposure for myself by playing in the SEC. Pro teams take the SEC seriously and that could be huge. Tennessee is also saying that I have the chance to play early if I go there. I want a chance to compete and to play early at an SEC school like Tennessee is big.”

Sounds really good for us.

When a recruit comes with his family, that is usually a good thing. Hope the visit goes well.

Was I correct in understanding that they will be in town for more than the weekend?

Can the Kiffin's have the family over for dinner? Be nice to show some Southern hospitality from former neighbors of a sort (keep in mind that Oakland is just a short drive from the Bray's hometown).

I agree, He has a big upside. The problem is we don't have time to wait for kids to mature in the program. He is going to have to play and play early. What if Stephens went down next year? What then? We need someone who can come in and compete right off the bat.

That is why I see two QB's in this class. Newton would be the logical answer. But who knows.

we already have a matured qb for next year, lamaison.

Not sure what the rules are on what we are allowed/not allowed to do as far as his family goes, but they will definately get the grand tour, and Tyler will get five star treatment during the opening day for the Kiffin era in Knoxville. I would be very suprised if Bray isn't blown away.

If he's this bad after playing at a fairly high level in JuCo, I doubt he will ever contribute in any significant way. He's just a warm body to help out this Spring and run the Scout team.

He may make the transition, but the odds are stacked against him. He does have an arm.

Wow I see the 2 year olds have come out to play again seeking attention. Sad.

I think Bray will be a Vol as well. I'm hearing some very good vibes about him and I think the visit will all but finalize things. He's a good one!

:dance2:
didnt you read the article numbnuts? he clearly states that he is still committed to SDSU!

Hey I would love to congradulate you on graduating 3rd grade. Numbnuts. haha.

Dude he is not a SDSU "LOCK".
He picked them to keep everyone away. He knows better then to pass up a offer from us and in the end he will come here. And like it was stated before just because you have a high post count doesnt make you a recruiting guru.
