Thats a tad different than what he told Matt Prehm. We could have double good news this weekend if all goes well.

Im really confident in landing this kid this weekend, i think by Sunday morning he will be all Vol. But IF someway somehow he doesnt end up a Vol ill be shocked & disappointed.

I heard from a reliable source that Bray let SDSU know that he's all Vol!!!
:dance2:

Don't yank my chain. :nono:

Seriously though, that's awesome if he actually told San Diego State. Becoming a Vol seemed inevitable but this just makes it more of a reality if true. The sooner we get our quarterback the better. The recruiting class is about to blow up.

English please?

How many times are you going to insult Matt? He writes for this site, Oregon and Alabama. He actually talks to recruits. What have you offered to the site? Continue insulting someone who actually has inside information though. That's quite the contribution.

For the record I, in no way, was questioning Matt. Not that you directed this toward me, I was just pointing out that this latest interview sounded more promising. I for one appreciate and UNDERSTAND what Matt does for a paycheck or three. He has to keep the pot stirred and in the meantime he has to retain his credibility to continue to earn that check.

Actually, if you think about it guys. What Coach K is saying is actually VERY feasible. A couple of days ago someone who claims to be from the area where Bray is from gets on here and says that he has gained weight, lowered his 40 time, etc... Now, Bray has the interview with Sports Animal and says that he has gained weight, distance is not an issue, and that he may very well commit this wkend. Sooo it may not be out of the question.

Then again, maybe it's me being very optimistic!

Does Vol Nation pay him? Either way, the person I was responding to has talked crap about about Matt two or three times in past 24 hours. It's just annoying seeing as Matt is doing us a favor and is just offering up what he is told. It's not like he is making things up. If that's what Bray told him, that's what Bray told him. That's all he has to go by. We can't fault him because the kids he talked to changed their mind.

If Bray has really gained weight & is @ 200, he could easily add another 10lbs. by the time he got on campus & Jan. Then with him being in a college S&C program for 8 months before having to take a snap & a real game he could easily be bulked up enough to endure a long SEC season.

he said he wants to be around the 220lb range before next fall and he will be entering college in january..I really think hes the biggest sleeper at QB in this class and his stock will rise even more if he produces this fall. I also believe he will be a VOL very soon and will be competing for the starting spot come next spring.

He is officially not a sleeper now that he is #115 in the Rivals 100.

I watched the Elite 11 on ESPNU last night. Bray was as good as any QB that was there. Including Heaps, Bell, Simms, & Scroggins. I think he has more of an upside also. I'm no professional talent scout but i will be very happy to see this kid commit. With his size, accuracy, & arm strength he could be one helluva QB in Kiffins system. JMO

He is ahead of Austin Hinder, Joe Boisture, Nick Montana, Paul Jones, Brett Nottingham, Andrew Hendrix, Barry Brunetti in the rankings and only 6 behind Blake bell and 8 behind Scroggins...

when is say sleeper I mean a guy with only two offers and who has flown under the radar until recently

He would probably have more offers if almost all of the West Coast powers didn't already have a QB. I think we might owe UCLA commit Brett Nottingham a huge thank you if/when we get Bray. Bray would probably have a UCLA offer right now if Nottingham hadn't already committed.

Everyone's got "sources" these days. Then if something turns out to be false, they blame it on their invisible friend.

I never said you have to believe me, and I never said this is for sure going to happen.

However, this is NOT a lie: My source told me that Bray informed SDSU he is going to be a vol.

This source was right about Scroggins a month before he committed to USC, and he was right about Palardy 2 weeks before he committed to UT.

In the past, he said, "Coaches are sure Scroggins won't come to UT." And "coaches are positive Palardy will sign with UT." And now he's saying this about Bray, so, I trust him, but you think whatever you want.

Yeah, if he were 210 right now I think he would be one of the top 2 or 3 QBs in the country. At 6'7", by the time he's a Junior or Senior he should be around 230-240. Plus, as he gets bigger his arm will get stronger.

Coach: I for one appreciate your input. I agree that it sounds like Tyler Bray will be a VOL...IMO

From what I've read, KoachKrab seems to be a solid poster. I'm not for sure his source's info is correct, but I believe he does have a source...

I would take KoachKrab's word, not because I know of him as being an "inside guy" or anything (no offense KoachKrab), but because he's going to be right.
