"Spoke with Bray this afternoon.
Obviously very early for any heavy speculation but Bray told me that he did get a firm offer from Tennessee on Wednesday and that he is very open to given the Vols a look. He had spoken to Coach Orgeron this afternoon and planned to call Kiffin tonight to have a conversation."

If it's true that we offered, this guy will be a Vol after he talks to the coaches.
Haven't we learned by now not to jump to that conclusion? Next thing you know everyone will be saying it as if they had something solid to indicate that when there is nothing.
Don't forget that there are still schools looking to land a QB in this class and as the prospects drop off the board, the competition will increase for the few leftovers. Not that Bray isn't good enough, but he was far from our first choice. I think the coaches realize how imperative it is to get a QB at this point to the momentum of our recruiting class though. Doesn't matter. If the coaches think he's good enough to play here, that's enough evidence for me whether it's now or in November. Nice to get in the boat comparatively early on a guy for a change. I honestly didn't see us offering anyone at this stage. That speaks to Bray's abilities and signals that other schools were close to offering as well IMO.
His commitment to SDSU is far from solid as has been discussed. He basically got in the boat in case there were no better offers. He's far from a lock to UT, but I think it is more wide-open than one might expect given the fact he's already committed somewhere.
Also don't automatically count SDSU out. They had more players drafted in last year's draft than we did.

He looks like he's got potential. I just don't see a kid that is that skinny being able to play in the SEC in one year's time. Maybe he could be the man after putting on a few lbs. and getting a little stronger.
A lot of people here including myself, are preaching patience.
Question is, does the staff have it?
If he is interested, which it sounds like he is. How long do we wait? Does it hurt us with other options, if we hold out. Not sure we are looking for 2 more QBs, prolly just 1.
I agree with patience. And yes I believe they do have patience. They know as professionals that not every kid they recruit is going to commit. What would help everybody here would be to actually see the recruiting board, but thats not going to happen. That just leaves us to speculate at what we think. I'm ready to sit back and just watch. It was pretty magical at what happened between last Dec. and Feb. I'm sure this year will be the same.
