'10 DE Delvin Jones

Maybe if Nelson and Taylor both are coming for sure, but I would still doubt it. We need LBs, and the staff likes Williams...

Then who is "X" talking about getting recruited over whose grades are in question and who has been wavering?

I would guess that Williams is one of them, but his grades appear to be fine now. Marcques Dixon and John Brown have some grade concerns and I think Pair could get recruited over jmo...

As far as wavering, Williams and Jones have talked some about it but are solid atm. Michael Taylor seems to be the one wavering the most...

The more MT waffles, the more we should be making sure R. Williams stays the course on grades and hears recruiting love. I mean we've all foamed at the mouth over Taylor for a while now and took a shot in the gut when we lost Luc, but if we:

1.) Keep Williams on board; he's a guy that was targeted early and fit the mold of Monte's LB
2.) Bulk up a safety (on campus or prospect) to play the position or move Jac there

Then we shouldn't feel that horrible about the position in the class. I'd like to think we'd have a surprise on NSD at that spot but wouldn't hold my breath.

Our LB's will be fine. Did anyone else see Lathers the Freshman show up big in the Chick Fil A bowl? Lathers will be a beast and will put on 10-15 "good pounds" and will still have that 4.5 speed. We need to worry about replacing rico and I think cory nelson is the perfect fit.

"Heck no I am not committed (to Tennessee). I am opening things back up. Sure I will see what happens at Tennessee but right now they don't have a coaching staff."
...

it will work out, Delvin likes us, we get the right coach in, and re-sell the program he'll be back.

one of the other SEC schools sites claims they have him though, i believe

we'll have to wait and see

Delvin Jones is more focused on trying to get eligible than recruiting. It seems likely that Tennessee, where he was committed before Kiffin left, will sign and place him. He could go beyond Signing Day if he wants to take official visits, because without a qualifying test score he hasn't been able to take official visits.

I don't underatand how an athlete of his magnitude could go this long without taking an SAT/ACT.. You would think that would be the first step in the process..
