'10 FL ATH Matt Elam

If he decommits.. He run's the risk of losing his offer from them if he decides in the end he does want to go to Florida.. That is why he is staying commited while he figures things out.. If he decides on UT, that is when he will de commit

:lolabove:

Are you serious? I think you need to get a few more years under your name before you make an empty accusation.

No offense, but it just makes sense for him to stay committed until he's actually going to switch.. it happens all the time. And I've been on VQ for 5 + years, I just never signed up here. I'm not trying to be an ass or jump on your case, but it makes perfect sense for him to stay "committed."

Yea, I understand all that, this one just seems, different. With ties to the Gators and being die hard like he was, just makes it hard for me to accept hes not a Gator until he does it publicly, and even still, I think this one goes to the LOI signing.

i believe that elam himself said that the latest we will know is november because he is an early enrollee, but i don't have any spinning stars so what i say probably doesn't matter...

Damn stars. The yoke of oppression..

I will. But it still doesnt change the fact he is STILL committed to Florida. What reason would he have to still be committed if he still didnt have them at the top?

Ok then. He is committed to UF, but he would still sign with WVU. I don't think having a commitment really counts when he says he isn't going to sign with you...

That is just fine with me if he leaves to go to Tennessee. He will go to Tennessee just like Nukeese did and be a bench warmer just like Nukeese is. Besides he never really wanted to be a gator anyway. Gerald Christian is the real talent on his highschool team and he is the one we need. Goodbye.

Nice to know how Gator fans really feel about Elam...

LV what do you make of what Bluetick said on Volquest about Elam?

Like I said in a previous post, his info on Shakim Phillips was accurate and absolutely nobody had been saying anything about him. So, he definitely talks to someone in the know...

As for what he said about Elam, it correlates with alot of rumors about him. I believe his info is correct. jmo...

I hope his info is accurate. I think Elam is going to be a great player for someone. Hopefully us. Phillips on the other hand I am not sold on. There are some others I think are better that if we really pushed hard on we could get. I also could care less about getting back in the Scroggins hunt. I think Newton is the way to go. Then get a good one next year on top of Bray.

But either way I really want Elam. We are wearing the state of Florida out and I think that is a good thing.

"Urban does it the right way and has his players give back to the community"

When the poster below the article said that did he mean, giving back through court mandated community service?

ok call me lazy but i didnt read all the pages of this thread, so apologies if this has already been brought up... anyone else doing a little thinkin after reading that the gators offered riley??? could we be talking about the gators hearing elam is ours, so they offer the next safety available? not saying i believe that necessarily, but it got me thinkin. i would take that trade haha. thoughts?

Not saying that it is impossible, BUT I don't think that when the gators offered Riley they were hearing that Elam would be ours. Sure, he was interested, but when Riley was offered last week or so, Elam was certainly not a lock to UT.
