This is a very good point. I believe you've just nailed Monte's selling point! There's a reason Elam kept mentioning Berry, besides being enamored w/ the superstar...

That's not a "role" that we are going to be seeing on a reoccurring basis. It is a role born out of necessity. We aren't recruiting guys to play roaming LB/S in this defense, trust me. Ideally you want your LBs good enough and fast enough that you don't have to pull down your best player to shore them up.
