'10 FL ATH Matt Elam

We need Elam just as bad as we need Luc. If Janzen is gone(looking bad) he will no doubt be a day one starter. Heck, even if he JJ stays he may start along side him if he can beat out Myles.

i was being serious i have jus started following recruiting this close and i didnt know exactly what he was talkin about i took it as CUM and staff demanded him to visit or else.

well they have some leverage over him

(they can gi recruit other safties or even drop his scholly)

so while they cannot physically make him go they can do other things to "influence" him to go

i never knew a coaching staff could demand a player to visit

Why not? Our coaching staff is getting tired of his games and when he didn't set up an OV with us initially they got upset and told him he had to give us the last visit. He then set up his official visit for the FSU game and all seemed good. Now he cancels his visit. I have no idea where he is going but I am sick and tired of this game. We need to just take Tony Jefferson and tell Elam that he can go somewhere else. Jefferson is there to be had and he is almost as good as Elam and may develop into a better player.

Matt Elam is not solid to the Gators despite what their fans would have you believe. I don’t think he is leaning anywhere particularly but a recent visit to Georgia seems to have put even more doubt into his head as to how committed he is to playing for Florida. Look for West Virginia to be a player here as Elam already has a teammate committed there in WR/CB Robert Clark. Tennessee has offered Clark as well so there is certainly still a possibility of both playing for the Volunteers.
The Recruiting Fix

To me this is a clear sign that he won't be a Gator. What do you think? I am thinking he may end up at WVU.

Going to WVU will end up costing him millions in the draft. If he wants to be a top pick someday he better stick to an SEC school.
