Not sure, let more of these bigger offers come in and then we will get a better read on Ash. Of course growing up in the Muck, Florida was his dream school (usually is one of the big 3).
After May Ash should have most all his offers in hand and can start sorting them out. He seems like he's just wanting any and all offers right now. He's a kid that didn't even start until week 6 this past season, and on the verge of getting offers from nearly every elite program in the nation.
1) Not a Vol fan, but trying to get up there in the fall to do one of my Road Trip articles like I just did with USC. Purdue and Florida were done last fall.
2) I got the text of the offer while at work and then last night when he said he did the interview with UT Rivals, I had to let you know before their article came out.
New article"I was surprised. I've been trying to talk to the coach, like, through e-mail and stuff. Then, I talked to somebody today in the recruiting office and she told me they don't really check the Internet all that much. Next thing you know, the AD (at Pahokee) was asking me to talk to Coach Gran."
"I was surprised. I couldn't really, like, act like I was as happy as I was at that moment because I was in tutoring class," said Ash, who was offered by Tennessee's running backs coach and South Florida recruiting specialist Eddie Gran, after Ash phoned Gran. "I almost got kicked out I was so excited."
"Right now, my top three are West Virginia, Tennessee and Minnesota."
"I spoke to both Coach Coley and the defensive line coach (Odell Haggins)," Ash said. "Coach Coley was asking how fast I could run because he wanted me as a tight end. He was playing around. Coach Haggins then cut in and was like no, he doesn't need to play tight end, he will play for me. They want me as a defensive tackle."
