I heard about a week ago Palardy would be announcing for UT unless something unexpected happened. Eddie Gran has been on this guy for the last three years, and according to everything i've heard and read he absolutely loves Gran. This guy is a Game Changer and baring injury, no 2010 recruit will have more of an impact during his college career than this guy, regardless of where he signs. WATCH AND SEE ! Let's hope he is still leaning our way, but in the unlikely event he chooses LSU show some class and don't bash the young man. BTW, hope all of Vol Nation has a safe and happy 4th :D

I agree. Don't pull a kitty poop complete lack of class. I still can't believe there were people hoping that Janzen would blow out his knee.

Rumors to UT fans said he'd be a Vol. Do you honestly think all the rumors going around on TigerDroppings said he'd be a Vol?

They weren't. I was over there reading at that time. They refused to concede that he was going to be a Vol and then a humongous meltdown ensued following his commitment. That's when the rumors started about Myles and Janzen's dad being promised a job next year. It was hilarious.

Does anyone think he can recruit? Some of his high school teammates are coveted, very coveted . I think that makes his decision between LSU and us even more interesting.

Aquinas would be a great base for prospects--now and forever. That's a So Flo powerhouse.

Maybe this guy is such a good kicker that others would follow. There aren't many kickers who achieve that status, but I can't ever recall sitting around waiting on a kicker's announcement?

2008: Palardy has connected on 76-of-78 extra points, four-of-five field goals and 98-percent of kick-offs were touchbacks. He earned first team All-County honors and third team All-State.

Connected on 3-of-4 field goals during the regular season for the 5A champions, with a long of 33. In the state title game, he put all seven of his kickoffs into the endzone for touchbacks. Huge leg. Third Team FSWA 5A All-State PK as a junior.

Is it just me, or is anybody else scared of his ability to kick from a holder when the pressure is on?
He only had 4 attempts all year, and I'm worried that playing with such a potent offense will detract from his experience of in-game place kicking...

i know nothing about kicking except laces out, but he seems to have enough ability to adapt to any way of kicking.

I don't know, but I assumed he shared FG duties or was doing it in a backup role. I'm just glad to have a Kickoff and Punter that's money like this guy. Bring Acosta in for FG's

I'm not concerned in the least. He is gifted and all athletes have to adjust from HS to college. You can coach a kid to deal with pressure, you can't coach God given ability though.

He had almost no pressure on him at all, and that's the problem that makes and breaks kickers. I want to know how he deals with pressure.

He will learn quickly then once he comes here. If he chooses LSu then he will suck and never see the field. Just because he didnt choose us.

If we don't get this kid, there's always Acosta who isn't a bad choice at all. I'm hoping for one or both though.

I see what you are saying. Do you remember Courtney Leavitt from Germantown? He was big time in high school and heavily recruited. At one time he owned HS FG records in both TN and South Carolina. Went to USClite and was awful. I mean really awful. He was there during that early holtz stretch when their two kickers combine to miss something like 10 or 12 straight FG's.
