I am hoping Gran tells him that he should come here. That would be the admirable thing to do.

Heard good things about this internet stuff. Sounds real sci-fi. Just haven't been on to get the word on Gran. Heard rumors last night but that's all.

No prob. Surprised you know Loretto. By the way, do have any ides bout replacements for Gran and Wilson? Hope Palardy sees the opportunities he can have at UT next season.

Palardy just stated in a Volquest article that he is still solid to the vols, but admits that he has some thinking to do. short version.

He probably won't tell him anything. I doubt they recruit him too heavily, but they may. My guess he just tells him he is leaving UT and FSU would be an option if interested. If he says no then I doubt he goes after him too hard. Is he going to be the ST coach at FSU or is Jody Allen going to keep that job?

Also says that coach Gran was a big part in why he chose TN, BUT was looking foward to talking with coach KIFFIN

Guys, I'm not trying to downplay the importance of the kicking game... and I hope we keep Palardy...

but at the end of the day, the guy is just a kicker. If he leaves, we'll be okay trust me. Heck, this year proved we can find a kicker (and not even have to use a scholly on him). Give me Corey Acosta and keep this drama.

I'm more worried about the other players Gran recruited. Delvin Jones for example...

MrBamSeydu, not worrying about getting the #1 kicker is like whistling past the grave yard for us. We need a kicker as bad as any other position on this team. This would be a huge loss for this class. This kid kicks off thru the endzone and punts. He has the potential to be the highest impact player in this class.

I am worried.

Palardy is a game changer. He is already money in the bank on kickoffs, plus he has the ability to kick FG and to punt in addition.

Acosta is good, but after seeing him in person, I am not sold that he is ready to come in and help our current situation. Pollard would help us more in the near future IMO.

Palardy will stay a vol. And anyone who says we dont need him. Look at the Bama game and ask yourself if Palardy was kicking, do we win the game? I say atleast we get to watch a ball in flight towards the goal post. We need him as much as we need anybody IMHO

Highest impact player in this class? Are you out of your mind?

You think kicking the ball out of the endzone and having it at the 20 yard line is high impact? Average starting field position this season for our opponents was around the 28 yard line. An 8-yard difference is not high impact brobot, I'm sorry.

I'll take Palardy all day every day, but I'm not concerned if we don't get him. Matt Milton, Kenbrell Thompkins, Tyler Bray, etc, etc, etc. Hello?

I guess you'd think Devin Mathis is the highest impact player on the team this year. I think he's perfect on FG attempts isn't he? Kicker....highest impact player... ha. Palardy could kick the ball to Jupiter and he still wouldn't be our highest impact player in the class. You can only kick a ball so far. I will say that it's impressive that he can kick FGs with both legs depending on which hash mark it's on. That's just ridiculous (but I'll take a 6-6 WR over that any day).
