I'm excited to get Palardy on campus. Huge impact from day 1.

...but I'm not getting my hopes up until he signs on the dotted line or enrolls in classes. I'm just not anymore. I don't know that I can handle it.

I doubt it. High School EEs are in school until the Christmas break I think. You'd have to look up his school schedule. He may make it in time for one, maybe.

EDIT: School lets out on the 17th for James. I'm not sure when the earliest he can arrive is.

Lol -> lul; lols -> luls; lolz -> lulz.

Lulz is the one good reason to do anything, from trolling to rape. After every action taken, you must make the epilogic dubious disclaimer: "I did it for the lulz".

This has been pioneered by encyclopedia dramatica, famous for posting a fake craigslist add and then listing the personal info of those who responded.

I guess I'm just in the minority then. I love Palardy and I can't wait to see him booting the pigskin for us. I do understand the kicking game's importance. I understand 2 blocked FGs lost the game for us at Bama this year....

but I'm just not going to break the seal on my best bottle of vino for a kicker. I'm sorry. In no way am I saying I'm not glad we have him. I'm just saying Jesse Scroggins or Mack Brown pulling a switch-a-roo would get me alot more pumped than pulling Palardy.

If Palardy is as good of a punter and kicker as he's supposed to be, I'd be fine giving him two scholarships. We are as bad as I can ever remember being at both positions.

I think he is an important pickup this year,it has been a few years since we had a great kicker

I'm gonna take a page from your sig on this one.

Not saying I don't want a good kicker. I know how important the kicking game is in tight games.

<--- I just don't get as excited about a kicker as I do guys like this.

I'm sorry, Mr. Bam: Idk how you could watch UT football this year and be more excited about scroggins or brown switchng.... If this guy is as good as labled.. (hear me here...big if) then one would have to be more excited about this kid... Heck he's making seventy yard field goals (not exaggeration source is CConrad if I'm not mistaken), and hasn't even been with a college level strength and conditioning coach... I'm really excited for this kid and think he can make an immediate impact at positions that need a lot of help...

FSU has a very good freshmen or sophmore kicker I forget so unless he plans on just punting I cant imagine him goin there

Most important recruits (not names, positions):

QB
DL
OL
RB
LB
WR
DB
K/P

That's just the way it is. Gotta have a QB. Gotta recruit big uglies. You can rely on running game more than passing game (especially in weather conditions, also affects special teams), LBs to stop running game, WRs and DBs you can switch that's just opinion whether you're more offensive minded or defensive minded.

You also have to look at availability. A great QB is hard to come by. You can take a 5'10 athlete that runs fast and turn him into a DB. That's why I put DB last. It's the easiest position to recruit just by availability and numbers.

That's all I'm saying. Don't get me wrong on this. I've seen video of Palardy. He is the best kicker in the nation. He's the best kickoff guy I've seen in a few years at least.

But at the end of the day, kicking game doesn't matter if the score is 42-10.

Not trying to argue that Palardy isn't good at all. I am excited about him... just not as excited to get the #1 kicker as I would be the #1 QB. Go Vols.

Nobody gets excited about a great kicker on your team. It's when you don't have one that everybody pays attention to it.

When CLK met with Palardy and his family, I read that Palardy said that " he committed to the University of TN and not an Assistant Coach"... and trust me, Palardy is as big a commit that we will have this year...GBO!
